Things that we decorate with at Christmas have great meaning.

Did you know that the evergreen tree speaks of new life?
Life began for us when we received Jesus, who was crucified on a tree.

A cut tree speaks of death, but we resurrect that tree when we bring it into our home and we place our decorations on it.
Reminding us of the birth of our Lord and His Resurrection from the dead.

It has resurrected life of beauty so that we can celebrate our Lords birth.

1 Peter 2:24
Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed. (It is a done deal)

The lights that we light up our home with, remind us that Jesus is the light of the world.
John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them saying, "I am the light of the world.  He who follows me shall never walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

The candles with their sweet fragrance, reminds us that our Lord's sacrifice was a sweet aroma to Father God. Light and aroma, that's our Jesus.

Ephesians 5:1-2
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children, And walk in love, as Christ also loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

The wreaths remind us of the eternal circle of life.  It is unending, because we have eternal life in Christ Jesus.

John 10:28
"And I give eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

The bows remind us of the gift God has given to us, Jesus is our gift from the Father.

The true candy canes that are red and white with three stripes, remind us of the Triune Godhead.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The original candy canes were made with three stripes and one large red one. They were made to look like the Shepherds hook, white for purity and red for the blood of Jesus. you can turn them over and it is a J, for Jesus.

John 10:11
I am the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd gives His life for His sheep.

Bells are attention getters, they were used on the bottom of the priest garments in the old testament.
They remind us that Jesus Christ is our high priest.

Exodus 28:33-34
And upon its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet, and all around the hem, and bells of gold between them all around, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe all around.

The poinsettia plant, has as legend, A poor Mexican child wanted to bring to church a gift for the baby Jesus, and all she had picked were weeds, when she presented the weeds they turned into a beautiful flower of blushed red.
So the poinsettia is a picture of God's miracles.

Jesus is the perfect gift to you this Christmas season.
So decorate all you want to, it all speaks of our Savior and Lord, and especially the celebration of our Lord's birth.

God Bless  your day, and your Christmas
Jesus loves you
