Never allow yourself to be put in the prison of resentment.

When you have a mind of resentment, it will age you, make you ill, and you will lose your peace. Resentment comes when we have not dealt with anger or displeasure properly. ( WE HAVEN'T   FORGIVEN, we have stuffed it down in our soul. ) FORGIVE THAT ONE WHO CAUSED A  WOUND AND HURT, AND STAND FIRM IN THE LOVE OF GOD, ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TOUCH YOU IN THAT DEEP HURTING WOUND AND HELP YOU RELEASE IT, SO HEALING CAN TAKE PLACE. Resentment comes to us when we feel like we have been pushed to the max, and we don't even feel like praying. That is where Jesus comes in, He is our intercessor, and  understands us well.  He is already interceding for us. Colossians 4: 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. You see beloved, when we are quick to forgive and not allow resentment to settle in our soul, we can let our speech be with grace, seasoned with the salt. Pour salt in the wou...

Knowing that you have God's peace, and how you can maintain that peace.

God reveals to us, how we can walk in His peace and fully enjoy His presence. These scriptures will reveal to you, how to maintain God's great peace. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. We have peace, when we keep our minds on Jesus. We have peace and rest for our soul, when we walk with Him in His righteousness. Isaiah 57:2 He shall enter into peace, they shall rest in their beds, Each one walking in his righteousness. Psalm 37:37 Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace. Beloved, when we keep our mind on Jesus and not on the carnal (nature things) we will have peace,  knowing that God is in control of this old world, and certain things that look bad to us now, we may not understand, but later on, we will see some of His purpose and plan, and why certain things were allowed to take place. John 14:27 (Jesus speaking) "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as...

We know some people hate us because of Jesus, but lets not let them hate Jesus because of us.

We have a responsibility as a believer to show the love of God, especially to those that hate us. Love covers a multitude of sin, right? That's our sin and theirs.  Never turn politics into an idol.  Yes we vote the bible principles that keep us safe.  But, Jesus is Lord,   Focus on the Lord and pray for a peace in your heart. There are many Christians that are getting stressed out because of the things they hear.  But, read God's word, nothing has changed in all the generations. The only thing that has changed, is that we are closer to the Lord's return!! Romans 1:18-21 For the wrath revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,  because what may be known of God is manifested in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even the eternal powe...

A new heart gets you into the game, after that you have to allow the Holy Spirit to be your coach.

Think about what the coach has to teach you. He has to teach you to exercise.  We exercise our faith. The coach, the Holy Spirit, has to condition you to respond to commands. We have to be conditioned to hear the voice of God, that comes with training and learning.   The coach teaches His team members how to be part of a team. Working together. We are the body of Christ, we are all connected as a team. The coach pushes us beyond what we believe we are capable of.  He pushes us out of our comfort zone, into the zone of great endurance. We are told to press on to the high calling in Christ Jesus our Lord. Philippians 3:14-15 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Our coach teaches us to persevere, to have faith beyond what our mind can believe for and to expect God to move on our behalf by the Holy Spirit. Beloved, let the Holy Spirit be your coach, He will teach you and train you in the ways of the Lord. He...

Love, lights and laughter and loved ones, good food, all speaks of a celebration of our Lord.

Yes, Christmas day is here. Blessed Christmas! On our street there are lights lighting up homes, and sign about it being all about Jesus coming to this earth as a babe. Jesus came to die, for us, we must keep Him the main focus in our celebration. He was the greatest gift giver, as He gave His life for you and me. So we celebrate His life by gift giving and showing love to others, singing songs about Jesus, and allowing all the negative things to be put away, and allowing the nature of Jesus to shine through us. Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children, and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and given Himself for us. Enjoy your celebration, of the 12 days of Christmas. Go to those that need love, and share with them, those that are shut in, and feel lonely, be Jesus to them with skin on.  That's where Jesus would be, and He put His nature in us so we can share His love. Tell of His Salvation. Allow Jesus to love through you. God bless you...

The orchestra of life is a concert of many believers, working in harmony, directed by the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever listened to an orchestra warming up and practicing?  It sounds as though no one knows what they are doing and are off key, as they tune up. Yet when they come together and begin to play their instruments, directed by the conductor, there is a beautiful melody. Perfect harmony. It is like that with the body of Christ, alone we sound as though we are out of touch, but working together with the Holy Spirit as our conductor, God does make wonderful things happen. Each part of the body has a function, and gifts and talents to share. According to 1 John 2:17, we have the anointing from God, so we need to walk in that anointing. Romans 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, but all members do not have the same function, so we being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Ephesians 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part d...

It doesn't matter how much love you have gathered, what matters is, how much love you have given away.

Love is the greatest healing balm that there is on this earth.  We have the love of God in us and we can love others whether we feel like it or not. Never act on your feelings, go by Gods word. Our feelings and emotions are fickle, and cannot be trusted. When you realize just how much Jesus loves you, you can and should love others with God's love. That means giving yourself to others, no matter what your needs are at present. Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Beloved, give God's love to someone who does not deserve it, who are full of themselves and you will see what love can do, then you will be just like Jesus. Children reflect their Father's nature, not condemning, full of compassion and mercy.  It is the goodness of God that causes people to repent, change their m...

He came from heaven and became flesh, and lived among us

Think of the awesomeness of that fact. The God who created the earth, came to us, to redeem us, so that He could present us back to the Father. John 1:9-14 That was the true light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.  He came to His own, ( the Jews) and His own did not receive Him, But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name;   who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Beloved, remember who Jesus is, His Hebrew name is Yeshua, Greek name is Jesus, in the New King James version of the bible, He is called  Immanuel  (meaning: God with us) Matthew 1:23. He is king of kings and Lord of...

Have you remembered Mary in the Christmas message?

Mary was a teenage girl, virgin, and asked by heaven to bear the Savior of the world. Yes, she was betrothed to Joseph, but in the Jewish culture, you were betrothed for a while before the marriage, took place.  They marry, then the groom goes to prepare a home for them, before they come together. Then He comes to get His bride. Sound familiar?  Our Lord has left to prepare a place for us, then He will come and get His bride. In Mary's day women were second class citizens.  The men were # 1.  Mary had already found favor with God before the angel came to her.  She loved the Lord and followed His word. Mathew 1:18-21 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows:  After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. While he thought about these thin...

Things that we decorate with at Christmas have great meaning.

Did you know that the evergreen tree speaks of new life? Life began for us when we received Jesus, who was crucified on a tree. A cut tree speaks of death, but we resurrect that tree when we bring it into our home and we place our decorations on it.  Reminding us of the birth of our Lord and His Resurrection from the dead. It has resurrected life of beauty so that we can celebrate our Lords birth. 1 Peter 2:24 Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree , that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed. (It is a done deal) The lights that we light up our home with , remind us that Jesus is the light of the world. John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them saying, "I am the light of the world.  He who follows me shall never walk in darkness, but have the light of life. The candles with their sweet fragrance , reminds us that our Lord's sacrifice was a sweet aroma to Father God. Light and aroma, that's our Jesus. Ep...

The greatest blessing, is to give when you yourself are in need.

If we look at our circumstances things can look bleak, but if we see our circumstances through the eyes of Jesus, things can look a lot different. Ecclesiastes 11:4-5 He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. As you do not know is the way of the wind.  Or how bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, so you do not know the works of God who makes everything. If the wind of bad circumstances blow your way, sow into God's work anyway.  Giving when you yourself have a need, is a great act of faith done in love. Remember Peter, he could walk on water until he observed the winds.  Don't pay attention to the winds, keep your eyes on Jesus.  He keeps the records of what is done from your heart. Malachi 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them;  So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name. W...

Are you giving from your heart of love, or out of duty?

Everything we have comes from the Lord. It is His work on the earth that blesses people, and He chooses to use us. When we give, we receive the satisfaction that we helped one in need. We are being Jesus hands on this earth. Our God is a great giver, look at all He has given to us. Family, friends, brothers and sisters in the Lord. Our extended family.  God so loved that He gave, shouldn't we be great givers also? We can give so many  different ways, we can give  with our love, prayers, our time, our counsel, our substance, food, clothing, special gifts for special occasions. 2 Corinthians 9:7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity ; for God loves a cheerful giver. The word out of necessity, is under constraint, or against your will. The Lord loves a cheerful giver, not one that feels they have to give.  a CHEERFUL GIVER   will give from a heart of love. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 Command those who are rich ...

Everyone is looking for the perfect gift, but Father God has already given us that gift.

People are focusing on the perfect gift, one that their families and friends will treasure. God has already given us the perfect gift of Himself. Christmas has so many facets to it, the first being, God left heaven and put on human flesh, to grow up as a human being, yet without sin, suffer and die in our place. The perfect lamb of God. We light up our homes with lights and candles, reminding us Jesus Christ is the light of the world. We sing carols, about His life and love for us, they remind us of His abiding presence in our life. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God. Everlasting Father, Prince of peace. Beloved, there is the entire Trinity listed for you. They were all in that baby that was born in the stable, placed in a manger, while angels sang His praises. Take some quiet time to reflect on the great love God has for you....

When we are willing to wait for something or someone, it is a sign that we trust God.

As we are waiting on the Lord, we must  be about Father's business.  We do, whatever He puts before us, and we have hope in our heart, because we know God is faithful. Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.  He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; many will see and fear, And will trust in the Lord. That horrible pit of depression, unbelief, fear, doubt, anxiousness, anger, pride. Wait on the Lord, means to rest in His care while you are going about His business. He set our feet on the solid Rock, Christ Jesus.  He is our Rock. The same Rock that was with Moses in the wilderness. The answer is already on the way, as soon as we pray and rest in the Lord, knowing His timing will be perfect. Do not get in a hurry or you could miss the best God has for you. He plans our step...

If you are a teacher of God's word, you don't do it for the income, but for the outcome.

A true anointed teacher knows that the Holy Spirit is the teacher. Our income is peace from God,  which we already have, the outcome are mature disciples. It is The Holy Spirit that does the teaching, we only present a vessel for Him to teach through. Being obedient to His leading, we prepare the materials that will help with the growth needed. Ephesians 4:11-13 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, and some prophets, some evangelist, and some pastors and teachers.    For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ , till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Teachers help reveal the gifts in others, for as they teach, it will become clear what others gifts are. Teachers help to shape the mind so that they can know Christ, intimately. Personally, not get caught up in a formula, but to hear what God ...

Are you praying for the Lord of the harvest to send workers to reach all those you love.

Are you remembering to pray daily for God to send workers to reach your loved ones? Pray for the Lord of the harvest to send the perfect person that your loved one will listen to.  Pray for their heart to be receptive to what this person has to say. Mark 9:37-38 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labors are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest." Acts 16: 28-32 (from the story of the Philippian Jailer) But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, "do yourself no harm, for we are all here. (Paul and Silas were praying and singing when the earthquake shook the jail and everyone's chains were loose.) Well of course they were all there, the glory of God had filled their cells from the songs of praise coming from Paul and Silas.  29. Then he (the jailer) called for a light, ran in, fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30. And he brought them out and said, "sirs, what m...

The secret to a happy life, is to forget the past and live without strife.

We all have things in our past, that the enemy loves to replay in our mind. Things we did not handle the right way, or was sin. Cast that thought out in Jesus name, do not receive a thought that will bring you down. Remember you are a new creation in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (believe this word) When we allow old things to flood our mind, we allow strife to enter in, because we start to feel guilty, and ashamed. Cast it off! Focusing on old things in the past, will cause us to be in strife, stay focused on Jesus and His finished work on the cross. When Jesus said, "It is finished" that is exactly what He meant! Jesus Christ took all your sin, He suffered the penalty of sin for you. For those of you that are new in the Lord, read daily, and focus on the word, NEW in 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. Beloved, relax and stay calm, it was all ta...

We are to make a conscience effort to hear and understand others.

Hearing is one thing, listening with a heart of love is another. A good conversation starts with a listening ear . Not just hearing words, but an effort on your part to understand and read between the lines. Some people do not know how to express all they are feeling or thinking.  That is when a trained ear by the Holy Spirit can hear more than what is being said. Remember the Holy Spirit is The Counselor, He will help you understand all that is being said. Even when we pray, God hears more than what we have to say. He reads our heart. James 1:19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;  for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James is telling us, first and foremost be swift to hear. Listen to understand, don't talk over a person, that will only show that you are not really interested in what they are saying. Slow to speak is the next one, if we would follow God's word on this issue, ...

We must walk in the Lord's steps, to reach our destination of victory.

Do you want to arrive in the place of victory? Then walk in the steps of Jesus Christ our Lord. Study His life here on earth, and you will know how to walk in His steps. 1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith.   Who is he that overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 Corinthians 15: 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Our good works will get us nowhere.  It is our faith that opens doors and places us where we can be the most effective for the kingdom of God. Did Jesus stay in one place? No, He moved around to reach the hungry hearts, those that needed His personal touch.  He even went to those who were outside His Jewish religion, but inside of His creation. He went to those that were receptive to His words of life. Sinne...

When you leave this earth will there be evidence that you were here?

When you leave this earth, will people say that they saw Jesus manifested in your life? Will you be missed? Did they see Jesus with flesh on, in you? Were you a light in their darkness? Can people say of you, I miss that person, they were an inspiration to me, and they loved me enough to correct me when I got off track.  Can they say, that with the correction, they never felt condemned, but felt love from you? Ephesians 5:8-11 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.    Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, finding out what is acceptable in the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. When you see dark areas in people, do you love them enough to share that there is a dangerous area in them? Some Christians, have no idea that using Astrology is wrong,( they are believing the lies of the enemy) and yoga , (It is not just exer...

Jesus has written the laws of God in our mind and on our heart.

Jesus has broken down the law, to two commandments. We are to love our Lord our God with all our heart , soul and mind and  love our neighbor as ourselves. (Matthew 22: 37-40) Since there are 5 commandments that apply to God, and 5 that apply to man, Jesus made it simple for us. When we are born again of the Spirit of God, we have those 2 commandments written on our heart. Romans 7:6 But we have been delivered from the law , having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not the oldness of the letter. 2 Corinthians 5-6 Not that we are sufficient  of ourselves to think anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient  as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. We are under a new covenant, God's laws are written on our heart now.  There are no more thou shalt not!  There i...

Waiting for the right answer from the Lord, or the right door to open.

Sometimes while waiting for an answer or the right door to open, we can get impatient. What we need to do is ask for our request and then thank God for the answer.   Praise Him while waiting. God is not hard of hearing, He heard you the first time, now have faith for your answer. God always over answers our prayers. Faith will praise Him, doubt will ask again and again. We do not have to beg, just ask. Yes, we are to pray without ceasing, but, some where there needs to be faith and trust that God will answer. We pray about many things, for peoples salvation, for healings, for peace of mind, for wisdom, when needed, prayer is just asking our heavenly Father for the need, through Jesus name. Believe that you receive and you will see God's hand. When you don't see His hand yet, trust His heart. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. As we wait upon the Lord, w...
