Can sin master you since you have received Jesus?

The question is, will we sin after coming to Jesus as Savior?

Oh yes. As long as we live in this house of flesh, we will slip into sin, either with our mouth or actions.

Romans 6:11-14
Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you shall obey it in its lusts,
And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law but under grace.

Sin will not have rule, or control, or power over you any longer.
Because we have the Holy Spirit to guide us and warn us, when we are headed the wrong direction.

The law is a mirror to show you what sin looks like, but it could never save us, it could only reveal to us what is sin.

Romans 3:20
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Sin is not to have dominion over us any longer, we can make the choice to follow God's word and live a fruitful life, or we can ignore God's word and let sin have a home in us.

Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness, if we will repent, as soon as we realize that we have sinned, be cleansed, and once again get back on track with the Lord.

Will we sin, yes, but sin can no longer have control over us because we have the grace of God to draw on.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

This scripture is a great reminder for us, everyone is tempted, but don't yield to that temptation, our strength from the Lord will help us.
Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Have you ever thought about the fact that Jesus was tempted in all points as we are?

1 John 2:1
My children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.  And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Sin has no longer a right to master, rule or control over you.

The blood of Jesus is your weapon to defeat it.  The word of God will correct your thoughts.
Prayer will give you strength and a joy to walk away from sin.

God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
