Areas in our life that we need to increase in, in order to obtain more growth in Jesus.

There are many things in the word of God that tell us where we need to grow in the Lord.


 Knowledge
Colossians  1:10
That you may walk worthy of the Lord; fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

 We need to increase in the knowledge of God. When we apply ourselves to study the word and spend quality time seeking  to know more and more about our Lord, we will gain knowledge.

 Jesus was found in a human body and He also had to increase in knowledge, we are no different. 

 Faith
2 Thessalonians 1:3
We are bound to thank God always for you brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.

 So you see beloved, our faith grows, each and every trial and test we come through will cause our faith to grow, as well as hearing the word of God.

 Joy
Isaiah 29:19
The humble also shall increase their JOY in the Lord.

 We are to increase in Joy, that deep down knowing we are the beloved of the Lord. Joy is like a river, every thing it touches, flourishes, receives life.

 Wisdom
Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

 We are to grow in wisdom, because Gods word says as Jesus is so are we in this world. 
1 John 4:17
Love has been perfected among us in this; that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

 So you see, we too must grow in the wisdom of God. 
We know that as we learn more and more about our God we will acquire more and more wisdom. (Seeing things as God sees them)

 Grace
2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

 When we are humble we extend grace to others, where we see God has extended  grace to us, unmerited favor, we also should do the same for others. Don't expect others to earn their grace with you, just show God's love, that is showing the grace of God.

Hebrews 4: 15
 but speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ.

These are just a few of the things that we need to increase in our life in the Lord, there are many more things that we will touch on later.

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
