Is your house of worship just a religion to you, with no power?
One thing is for sure, Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forever. He has not changed!
The power of God is in you, if you love and are following Jesus.
He hasn't changed, but some in the church are so wrapped up in themselves, that they have no power to fight the good fight of faith. Self is sitting on the throne.
Some are returning to the world and all it has to offer. I feel so sorry for them, they will miss the greatest event to come to the earth. No oil in their lamps!
The word says, for those that are looking for Him will He appear a second time.
Hebrews 9:28
So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
Like in the days of Habakkuk the prophet. Judah and Jerusalem were completely backslidden. They were into materialism, and selfish pursuits.
God warned them,
Habakkuk 1:5
"Look among the nations and watch- Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told to you.
For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, a bitter and hasty nation which marches through the breath of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs. They are terrible and dreadful; Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves. (Chaldeans, came from Babylonia)
Habakkuk prayed for revival, sound familiar? He was faithful in interceding for Israel.
But judgment was coming.
We need to pray for those brothers and sister who have returned to the world.
As each day passes, I understand more and more why Jesus said narrow is the way and few there be that find it.
Some remain faithful for a time, but when things get difficult they run back to the world.
Sure they go to church, and go through the motions, some attend bible studies, but their heart has turned away from the Lord, it is on self and the world.
Beloved, don't allow weakness to take over, be strong no matter what comes.
Be a faithful follower of the Lord, as He is coming soon. Check your heart to see if you are all in, or half in.
Its a daily walk with Jesus that will keep you on course, make every effort to spend time with Him, and receive all He has for you. He loves you.
I know of many who go from bible study to bible study, but their spiritual ears are not open to receive.
There is no change from all the word they have heard.
In the parable of the sower of seeds, some were not fruitful because of the cares of this world.
Matthew 13:22
Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
Beloved, stay strong in the Lord, learn from His word and obey His word. You will find a settled peace and joy in your life.
Your mind will be at rest. There will be no strife or unrest, just the peace that passes all understanding, that only God can give. Look for Jesus, He's coming soon! (Hebrews 9:28)
