Are you trying to fight battles that do not belong to you?

Sometimes we wear ourselves out trying to fight battles that the Lord does not intend for us to fight in.

Exodus 14:14
"The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."

There are times we take on battles that just do not belong to us.
We think we are doing the right thing, but many times we are going ahead of God, and we tie His hands in the situation.
Only when we let go and say "Lord, this is too much for me," then the Lord will come in and deliver.

Nehemiah 4:20
Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there.  Our God will fight for us.

When we try to handle things in our natural mindset, it will cause there to be strife and disagreements. Pride enters in.

James 4:1-3
Where do wars and fights come from among you?  Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?
You lust and do not have.  You murder and covet and cannot obtain.  You fight and war.  Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Selfishness!

Some people just like a good fight, it makes them feel powerful.
They will soon learn that God does not like those filled with pride in themselves, they are to have pride in the Lord their God and Him only.

Pride, being an unduly high opinion of yourself, where you, over estimate self and under estimate others.

We are to have a high opinion of our faithful loving Father God. He is to be honored and appreciated, obeyed and praised.

If you will get out of the way, God will fight your battles for you.
The only thing we are to fight with is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Beloved, don't try to fight battles that are not yours, if you do, I can tell you, a trial is right around the corner, until you learn to trust the Lord to fight for you. Rest in Jesus.

Don't be one who goes around and around the same old mountain of trial. God has something far better for you.

Learn what is yours to fight and what is God's.  We are to fight the good fight of faith, use the sword of the Spirit,
God's word.

We are not to fight battles with our opinions, and our logic.
We are to fight with faith in prayer and God's word.

Dearest Mama Joy,

This article speaks so much to me. I have been fighting a battle for 2 and 1/2 years and I have become very angry. I know who God is and I know how He is all powerful and will change this stressful situation, because I trust in HIM. I will re-read this message several times to help me release myself from so much disappointment and heart ache.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us.
