Some follow the Lord for the loaves and fishes, others follow because they love the Lord.
There are so many that follow Jesus for only what He can do for them. They get upset if they don't get what they want, and drop out of following the Lord if they don't like what they hear.
The loaves and fishes, (natural blessings) are nice to have in time of need, but there is so much more to be had, when we follow Jesus, we also receive the spiritual blessings.
A new spirit and love in our heart, joy and peace, that the world can never provide for us.
All the world provides in temporal. Not lasting, not fulfilling, it is full of deception.
The Spiritual blessings God provides for us, are lasting, fulfilling and Eternal.
Yes, God wants to give good gifts to His children, for those that are following Him all the way until the end. We are a family and we need to stay connected no matter what comes.
Mark 10:28-30
Then Peter began to say to Him, "See we have left all and follow You."
So Jesus answered and said, Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife and children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, who shall not receive a hundred fold now in this time-houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecution- and in the age to come, eternal life.
God has given those that will follow Him with all their heart, every spiritual blessing.
So we cannot lose, we have the natural provision from the Lord as well as the spiritual blessings.
John 6:63-68
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit and life.
"But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.
And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."
(verse 66)
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
Then Jesus said to the twelve "Do you also want to go away?"
But Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Please notice these were disciples. Notice also that in John 6:66, this was stated. 666, how interesting.
Are we seeking God's face or just His hand? Something we need to ask ourselves. Seek the one and only one who has the words of life! Jesus.
You can have the loaves and fishes, but Jesus offers so much more. We have a free will to choose, Choose this day whom you will serve, the world, or the Lord Jesus.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
Love in Jesus
