Our words are like the bees, they have a sting but can produce sweet honey.

There is only one person who can tame the tongue, that is the Holy Spirit.

James 3:5-9
Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.  Se how great a forest a little fire kindles!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.
The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

Every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed by mankind.
But no man can tame the tongue, it is unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.

James is telling us that we create our own hell with our tongue.  We set our nature on a course of going down hill, when our words are negative and hurtful.

Yet on the other hand, we set our nature on course with healing, hope, encouragement, if our words are from God's word.

We claim certain sicknesses because it is that season again, and speak with our mouth that we have it and its going to do such and such.

Jesus said, whatever you believe and speak you shall have it.
That is for the positive words as well as the negative words that we speak.

We end up speaking sickness to our body, and as we who have the power of Jesus in us, the very power that raised Jesus from the dead, whatever we speak contrary to God's word will effect our life. (Bee sting)
Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

On the other hand we can speak words of life that Jesus spoke in His word and His words are sweet to our taste. (Produce honey)
Psalm 119:103
How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Ecclesiastes 12:11
The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars are like well- driven nails, given by one Shepherd.

Beloved, our words are so important.  How we say a thing and what we say, can heal or hurt.
Think for a moment about unkind words that were spoken to you, it was like a sting to your soul, right?
So be careful what you say and how you say it, it can effect every part of your life, with family, friends and relationships, though we forgive, it takes time to heal from any wound. Jesus is the healer.

God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
