Helping other people has its rewards from the Lord.

You can't help another person uphill, without getting closer to the top yourself.

I had this message on my answer machine for years, always added the Lord Jesus loves you.

There are rewards for being like Jesus, and doing all that He calls us to do.

Philippians 2:1-4
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord of one mind.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others.

Have you ever canceled something very important to you in order to help a friend?
Or were your plans more important?

We are to look out for our own interests, but sometimes we need to put them aside and help someone in need.

Sometimes we have to die to our needs and go help someone else, even if it is inconvenient.  That makes it a sacrifice, well pleasing to the Lord.

I know Jesus struggled with being crucified, but He did it anyway, for you and me.
He suffered so great we will never know what all the soldiers had done to him for hours, before His crucifixion.

Try to remember that fact, when someone else needs you, sometimes you will be going to a bible study, or church, but the person in need is more important at that point or at least should be.
You cannot help another up hill without getting closer to the top yourself.

I had a friend one time tell me she just did not feel like going to church, I told her, Jesus didn't feel like getting on the cross but He did.  She got up and went to church.

Sometimes our flesh will give us all kinds of reasons to not do what we should.
Push pass that, and obey the Holy Spirit's promptings.
You will find there is a blessing waiting for you.

Colossians 3:23-24
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ.

Beloved, you can never go wrong, when you go out of your way to show the love of God, and help where needed. Put yourself in the other persons shoes. Jesus put Himself in our shoes.

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
