How important are the words we speak as believers in Jesus Christ.

Through the Holy Spirit, we have the power that raised Jesus from the dead living in us.

Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead  He will also give life to your moral bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Notice that he emphasizes, over and over, "who dwells in you. Do we get it?
God's great power dwells in our mortal being. In the body, our spiritual house.

Therefore the words that we speak matter a great deal. We give life to the things we say and believe.

We have our Bibles full of what God has spoken and is still speaking, they are life.

John 6:63
"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.  The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

We have God's attention when we speak from His word. We have angels at our dispatch as soon as they hear God's word from our mouth.

Psalm 103:19-21
The Lord has established His throne in heaven,  And He rules over all.  Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word.  Heeding the voice of His word.  Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.

If we speak like the world, we can expect the one who has a listening ear always waiting to find an entrance into our mind, to act. Satan.

We, as believers in Christ Jesus must guard what comes out of our mouth. We are no better than others, but we are different and getting more Christ like daily, that is if we apply ourselves to the word of God and prayer.

Proverbs 18:4
The words of a man's mouth are deep waters;  The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.

Beloved, remember our words carry power, choose your words wisely, and do not be quick to answer. Don't speak off the top of your head.

James 1:19-20
So then, my beloved brethren, let ever man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;  for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Think before you speak, your words will come to pass, and you will give them life, be it, good or bad. Don't allow out of control emotions choose your words. Pause and think!

We draw near to God with our words.  We honor Him, love Him, and we tell Him how grateful we are to be His child. We praise Him daily and often, it is with our words.
Words carry great power directly to the throne room.

God bless your day
Jesus loves you
