Do you have Spitirual Indigestion,Taking in more than you are giving out?
Spiritual indigestion is caused, by running to this conference and that bible study, and another meeting and another bible study.
Not taking the time to properly digest what you have learned. Adding another spiritual meal on top of the last one. Without taking time to allow the last meal from the Lord to digest.
In order to digest properly, we need to think about what we have learned, how can I apply it to my life. Meditate on the scripture over and over. Chew and chew on it.
Don't get me wrong, conferences are good, they help us to get motivated, bible study are good, they give us fellowship with those like minded and are hungry to learn.
We must take the time to digest what we have already received. Act upon it, by sharing with others the good news of Jesus being Savior, healer and the one that loves us right where we are in life.
James 1:22
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
God may not like where we have taken ourselves, but He always loves us.
Have you poured out your life and shared how Jesus saved you , if you are looking for a spiritual high, that is the one that will do it. Let the Holy Spirit lead you to the right hungry heart.
Ephesians 5:15-19
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dispensation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.
To be filled with the Spirit daily for our task, first we must be emptied out. If we are already full, how can we be, filled more?
We can empty out by encouraging someone, a phone call to let them know you were thinking of them. Or by sharing Jesus in a store or at work. There are many ways that we can empty out so that we can be filled again.
Beloved, pour out what you have learned and refresh each other and encourage each other in the Lord.
Be filled daily with the power of the Holy Spirit because you need a fresh anointing daily in order to bless others.
Spiritual indigestion will cause you to be complacent, idle, where you think you have enough teaching.
No, beloved, we need spiritual food from the Lord daily. We learn by hearing with our ears, we act out what we have learned when that word sinks down deep into our heart. When that word becomes life to you and those around you.
Like the children of Israel, they had to collect their manna daily, or it would rot.
The Lord is telling us we need to fellowship with Him daily, and read His word, or we could dry up. We need that water of life flowing into every area of our life.
Be filled, is a command, not a suggestion, we cannot survive spiritually if we do not spend quality time sitting at Jesus feet. Receiving daily, a fresh anointing.
We need the fellowship of the Lord, daily, walk in the light as He is in the light.
We can never learn too much beloved, but we can get lazy in the things of the Lord and allow the enemy (our flesh) to have us so busy with other things, that we miss the wonderful blessing of spending time with Jesus.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
Love in Jesus
