TRUSTING GOD MORE, THAN WE DID BEFORE.

When we look back where we thought we were trusting the Lord, we can see where we got impatient and tried to handle things ourselves, only to end up doing and saying the wrong things, outside of God's timing.

We all need to learn just what it means to surrender and trust the Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-8

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones.

Psalm 37:3-6

Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

We need to put our life on the line.

Peter had to trust Jesus to walk on the water, but, as soon as he looked at his circumstances and took his eyes off of Jesus, he began to sink. His trust failed. We have all been there at one time or another.

Sometimes we believe that we are trusting the Lord, when we are really trusting in our own ability to get things done.

Jesus is our model to follow, when we see in God's word how Jesus trusted the Holy Spirit and obeyed His Father, we too can learn to trust more.

Trust in the Hebrew:

means the sense of well being and security that results from having something or someone in whom we place confidence.

The Greek for trust:

In the Greek it is translated as HOPE, not as

belief. It stresses the feeling of being safe and secure. It means to live at ease because of your confidence in Jesus our Lord.

Trust is having a bold confidence and reliance on God's character, His promises, His power, rather than human understanding.

It goes beyond mere belief, implying an active sense of commitment to ones life in Gods care.

We cooperate with the Holy Spirit, not trying to fix ourselves. We obey His leading, He does the fixing. We do the repenting and obey God's word.

The transforming work done in our lives  is the work of the Holy Spirit, its not trying to fix others, that too is the work of the Holy Spirit.

We are secure in Gods hands. He always has our best interest in mind.

Keep in mind the true meaning of trust.

Philippians 1:6

being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:5

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Remember the the word hope, is connected to the word trust in the Greek.

It goes beyond our belief.

God Bless your day

Jesus loves you
