THERE IS A TIME TO PRAY, AND A TIME TO ACT ON GOD'S WORD USING THE AUTHORITY THAT HE HAS GIVEN TO US.
Always pray and ask the Holy Spirit to go before you. When you do, you will be on God's timing.
Luke 10:19
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Always have a listening ear and you will know how to pray or minister to someone.
Listening while some one wants to unload their concern and need, is very important.
May we have spiritual ears to hear, because, it will reveal what is flesh (old you) or what is spiritual, or an attack of the enemy.
The Hebrew word for prayer: implies self evaluation or contemplation.
The Greek word for prayer: refers to a vow or direction toward God.
There is a difference between the two.
The Hebrew implying a process of self judging, introspection and binding yourself to God.
Whereas the Greek generally pray to include worship and praise and devotion.
Prayer is always a petition with thanksgiving.
Ephesians 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all saints-
Prayer is a intimate contact with our Lord.
We pray to the Father in the name of Jesus.
For Father God has turned everything over to His Son.
When we pray for someone, we should pray and quote God's word. Ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you.
There are prayers from our head and not our heart.
When our prayers are from our heart, we will put ourselves in the other persons place.
Psalms 103:1-5
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord O my soul, And forget not all His benefits; Who forgives ALL your iniquities, who heals ALL your diseases. Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things,(God's word) So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalms 103:20
Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.
Beloved, we can't lose when we are backed by the word of God, and angels are moving on that word.
Years ago when my husband was in the hospital, I had written that Psalm on a card. The Doctors and nurses took it to read to other patients.
God will use every place we set our feet.
Never under estimate God's plan. Wherever His children are, He is there. Always near to bring hope.
1 Timothy 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
Beloved, Remember according to Gods word, we are to pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:43-45) and love them.
Yes there is a time to pray and a time to act on God's word. You'll know the difference when being led by the Holy Spirit.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
