THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT HERE TO MAGNIFY HIMSELF, HE IS HERE TO LIFT UP JESUS.
Some of what we have seen through the years was not the Holy Spirit. We have seen a lot of entertainment to lift up others, to draw attention to themselves, not Jesus.
Luke 11:13
If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
If you are new in the faith, Have you asked the Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Every believer is already baptized in the Holy Spirit. But they need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
John 14:25-26
"These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.
"But the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Beloved that is the work of the Holy Spirit. to lift up Jesus.
Some of the unusual actions we have seen were attributed to the Holy Spirit, was flesh on parade.
Lifting up themselves, to make a name for themselves.
I pray they have repented.
The Holy Spirit will teach us what to say when asked about Jesus. (Luke 12:12)
There are so many false prophets saying that they speak for God. Jesus warned us.
Matthew 24:24
"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive if possible, even the elect.
Real prophets, don't say that they are prophets.
Real prophets will always lift up Jesus.
David Wilkerson said that he was not a prophet, yet everything he said has come to pass.
Jack Hayford, one of my pastors, was a prophet, but never claimed to be. I know this from experience.
Beloved, use wisdom to who you listen to. Always check what they say with the word of God.
It should witness to the Holy Spirit who is in you.
Some of the so-called prophets of today, need back ground music to speak their words.
I see that as a red flag, entertainment.
Beloved, our precious Holy Spirit can be grieved.
Ephesians 4:30-32
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Ask the Holy Spirit if you have grieved Him.
He will let you know where there has been no repentance, or when you are getting off track.
It's the Holy Spirit who teaches us all about Jesus our Lord.
He is the one that does the transforming work, that will make us more like Jesus, His love, goodness and righteousness, compassion and mercy, holiness.
This is why we need to renew our mind in God's word. As we read God's word, it will read us.
Beloved, we are not better than anyone else, but we are to be different. We are all growing daily, and are in different places in our growth.
Our life in Jesus should be evident to unbelievers as well as believers.
The man that was healed in Acts 3:6-8, was leaping and praising God as he entered the temple. We are the temple of the Lord, are we leaping and praising God to just be alive and have the Holy Spirit?
We are to be excited of what the Holy Spirit is doing in our life. Praising our Lord for His sacrifice for us, and His love.
My precious sister in Jesus Carla, she loved to dance and worship Jesus in my living room.
She was filled to overflowing with Jesus and the Holy Spirits joy. She in heaven now. I miss her.
Be joyful and Dance and praise Jesus. Enjoy your salvation.
Remember the prodigal son story Jesus told, lots of laughter, dancing and Joy, the Father threw a party for him.
Let the Holy Spirit lift your spirit to a place of rejoicing and worshipping. You will feel content and rested. The Holy Spirit is your best friend, always pointing you to Jesus.
God Bless you
Jesus loves you
