IT'S TIME FOR PRUNING SEASON, A TIME TO CUT AWAY THE OLD AND MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEW.
The whole earth is getting ready to rest.
To have old things that hindered our growth, removed and to make room for the new growth.
In the Spring it will be evident what has transpired.
John 15:1-5
I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away, and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.
The pruning process will lead us to greater growth in the fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-24
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with it's passions and desires.
God will remove unhealthy parts in a believers life. This will cause us to mature, this will make room for spiritual growth.
This process of pruning can be painful. It will remove things that we want to hang onto.
When we are being pruned back, we are being shaped to be fruitful and to be more like Jesus.
Thank God for the process of removing the deceptions that we were believing, and removing false relationships that were slowly leading us away from the truth of God's word.
The pruning process can be painful, you will think, "what will be left".
Beloved, only those things that are of God, will be left.
Isaiah 43:18-19
"Do not remember the former things. Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, And rivers in the desert.
Beloved, the wilderness of our life, the trials and disappointments, will receive rivers in our dry places.
After the pruning process and the disciplines needed, the water of God's word will bring new life.
Proverbs 3:11-12
My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest the correction. For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
Enjoy the season of rest, as you submit to the Lord and all He is doing in your life.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
