THINGS THAT WE DECORATE WITH AT CHRISTMASTIME, HOLD GREAT MEANING.

Look at your decorations and see that they speak of life in Jesus.

Did you know that the evergreen tree speaks of new life?

Life for us is Jesus crucified on a tree.

A cut tree speaks of death, but we resurrect that tree when we bring it into our home and decorate it, this speaks of resurrection life.

John 11:25-26

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection  and the life.  He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.  "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.  Do you believe this?

1 Peter 2:24

Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed.

The lights we light our home with, remind us that Jesus is the light of the world.

John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them saying;  IAM the light of the world.  He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

Candles with their sweet fragrance, remind us that our Lord's sacrifice was a sweet aroma to God.

Ephesians 5:12

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.  And walk in love, as Christ also loved us and has given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

The wreath reminds us of eternal circle of life.  It is unending because we have eternal life in Jesus. (Immanuel, God with us)

John 10:28

"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

The bows remind us of the gift that God has given to us, Jesus is our gift from the Father.

The true red and white with three stripes candy canes, remind us of the triune Godhead.

The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The original candy canes were made with three stripes and one large red one.

they were made to look like the Shepherds hook, white for purity and red for the blood of Jesus.

You can turn them over and it is a J, for Jesus.

John 10:11

I am the good Shepherd.  The good Shepherd gives His life for His sheep.

Bells are attention getters, they were used on the bottom of the priest garments in the old testament.

Exodus 28:33-34

and upon its hem you shall make a pomegranate of blue, purple and scarlet, and all around the hem, and BELLS of gold between them all around.

"a golden bell and a pomegranate , a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden Bell and a pomegranate, upon he robe all around.

As you can see the Bells were God's idea.

The poinsettia is a picture of God's miracles.

The poinsettia plant has a legend.

A poor Mexican girl wanted to bring to church a gift for baby Jesus, and all she had picked were weeds, when she presented the weeds they turned into a beautiful flower of blush red.

So the poinsettia is a picture of God's miracles.

So decorate all you want to, it all speaks of our Savior and Lord, especially of His birth.

God bless your Christmas celebration

Jesus loves you,

Love in Jesus

Merry Christmas, Joy! It really never occurred to me until recently that Christmas lights represent the light that Christ brought into our world, because He is the light that shines in the darkness.
Looking for the Lord in everything causes one to SEE the Lord in everything! Merry Christmas Blessings to You, Mama Joy! Looking forward to 2024 and the Return of the King!
