THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE APPOINTED AND THE ANOINTED
There are those who have all degrees and education they could be appointed to a high position, either in their job or ministry.
The anointed ones know God, loves God and is full of the Holy Spirit and the word of God.
Many people can be appointed to a high position and not know God.
They can know about God, but they have no personal relationship with Him.
That is the difference between the anointed and the appointed.
Can the appointed one in a high position know God? certainly. Can he also be anointed? Yes. If he doesn't have pride in his heart.
Psalm 119:30
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
You see beloved those degrees take time, study and finances.
Those that are anointed will excel in all they do.
If they apply themselves in knowing their God and serving Jesus Christ our Lord.
God doesn't need someone with a degree of high standing to use.
He picks the most unusual people to anoint and carry His word and plan to the lost and sinful world.
1Corinthian 1:26-29
For you see your calling, brethren, that not many mighty, not many noble, are called.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in his presence.
The anointed can go through the same process in learning as the appointed, but the anointed will have joy and peace and Godly wisdom to bring them through.
The anointed depends wholly on the Holy Spirit, and knows they are in need of His help in all they set their hands and mind to. (Humble)
A good example of the self appointed is found in the story in Acts 19:11-20.
Acts 19:13
Then some of the itinerate Jewish exorcist took upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We exorcise you by the Jesus who Paul preaches."
Also their were 7 sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know and Paul I know; but who are you?"
Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, prevailed against them, so that they fled out of the house naked and wounded.
This is a great example of the self appointed. It will cost a great deal for them to try and use another's anointed name.
Do we ever see this in our Christian world? Yes!
Notice there were others besides the 7 son's of Sceva. They all were overcome and were beaten down by the evil spirit.
There is a great lesson for you and I and others who call themselves believers and followers of Jesus. Be filled with, by, and in the Holy Spirit.
Acts 9:17
And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road as you came, He sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
1Corinthians 12:3
Therefore I make known to you that no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
Jude 1:20
But you beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Spend time and know God's word and apply it to your life. When trials come, rejoice that you are being trained to minister life to others. (James 1:2-4)
As we die daily to ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to take over our life and ministry, we will have an anointing from God to bear fruit for the kingdom of God.
Read this story about the Jewish exorcist and see what the Lord is teaching us through this message.
Great fear fell on the people of Ephesus, because People that they perceived to have power, had none.
Power in our life only comes when we have a relationship with Jesus and are trained by the Holy Spirit.
All the darts of the enemy will be quenched, because the the anointing in your life.
You will have the anointing and power of God as you follow Jesus.
Yes, beloved, there is a difference between those who have been appointed and those who are anointed.
Well meaning people in this world believe they can fix things, but they have no power to do so.
Their efforts only cause a mess to be cleared up.
So beloved, be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit and allow God to use you to bring love, hope and joy in others lives.
Allow the Holy Spirit to anoint you daily with fresh oil.
You are blessed to have this because of Jesus. You are joint heirs with Jesus. He was the anointed one.
As His children, we too are anointed.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
Love in Jesus
