For us to know the power of God, we must walk in a higher standard than those in the world.

There are those that think the grace of God is a licence to do whatever they want. Wrong!

 We have salvation through the unmerited favor (grace) of God, we don't earn our salvation it is a gift from God. After our salvation, our forgiveness of sins we enter a new life.

We are called to walk in a higher standard than even those of the old covenant. 

 Grace is not a licence to do whatever you want to do. We are called to a higher standard.

 A good example is; 
You shall not commit adultery,
But Jesus said if you look at a woman to lust after her, you have committed adultery with her already in your heart. Lifting the bar!

 He raise the standard on that commandment as well as others.

 The new man in Christ:

 Ephesians 4: 17-24
This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the Gentiles walk, having their understanding darkened, 
being alienated from the life of God, because of ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;
who being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. ( please note that greed and lust go together)

 But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus;  
that you put off concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 

 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

 Beloved, God's word calls for a higher standard than just religious practices, He calls for our heart to follow Jesus completely. 

 Doing things repetitiously, but not having your heart in it, is no different than the Pharisees.

 Your commitment must be from your heart, not your head. 

 Not just doing religious practices, that make you believe you have done your duty, it is a privilege to remember Jesus and all He has done and is doing for us, His love for us is so tremendous, we cannot begin to fathom it.

 Jesus wants a relationship with us, time sitting at His feet in worship and praise, reading His word and treasuring every line.  He wants our heart and mind engaged with Him.

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. Just speaking His name, we inhale YAH and exhale WEH.   YHWH means breath of life. Our Jewish brothers and sisters know the name of God means breath of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
