Since humility is the opposite of pride, lets look at both and check ourselves to see where we are at.

There aren't too many today that are truly humble, we see more pride displaying itself, than humility.

Pride is over estimating self and under estimating others.
Whereas, humility reveals that a humble person sees themselves in a lower light, and they are always looking to learn more.

A humble person is teachable, they are hungry for more knowledge of God.  They want to know Him more.

Whereas, a proud person thinks they know it all, and none of us know it all, we have been given glimpse of wonderful truths, and we will not know more of heavenly things until Jesus returns.

The Holy Spirit will reveal certain things to us, if we are humble enough to receive them in the word of God.

Matthew 18:4
Therefore whoever humbles himself as a little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 23:12
"And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Proverbs 16:19
Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Humility cures worldliness. Worldliness is full of pride.

James 4:6
"God resist the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

Beloved, if you see pride seeking up on you, know it is the devils trap, because that was and is his nature, pride!

Repent quickly, before you have to fall, in order to learn humility. God will bring something in your life that will humble you.

Proverbs 16:18
Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

If we examine ourselves, we can avoid a fall, we all need a spiritual check-up every once in a while.

Heed God's word and make certain you are not slipping into the mindset of pride, thinking that you are better than someone else. Over estimating self !!

Psalm 25:9
The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.

Beloved, stay humble and see how the Lord moves in your life.

God bless your day
Jesus loves you
