God is molding us each day, so don't be an unwilling piece of clay.
We all start out marred in the potter's hand. The Holy Spirit being the potter that does the work in us, is making us more and more like Jesus.
Jeremiah 18: 3-4
Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was making something on the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter, so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
We go from a marred vessel full of sin, to a new vessel, a righteous vessel. One that has been cleansed of all sin.
All the cracks are being repaired.
This new vessel will carry the new wine of the Holy Spirit. Therefore it must be made perfect.
There are several things that mar our vessel.
The Holy Spirit will reveal the things that cannot be mixed with the clay, that He works with.
Things like, self-centeredness, un-forgiveness, being greedy, unloving and unkind. He will remove these things from us as He molds us into the very nature of Jesus.
There will be pressure, water (of the word added) and removal of all that will not mix with the new clay.
There will be loving hands that will mold and remove anything that will hinder the new vessel from molding properly.
It will take spinning and touching, pulling, adding more clay, some more water, more pressure to make that perfect container for the Holy Spirit to fill to overflowing.
Have you felt the pressure of the Holy Spirit to have some changes in your life.?
Be willing to stay on the potter's wheel until he has finished molding you into the very image of Jesus Christ our Lord.
I have seen God use cracked vessels who leaked water as they went, only to see that God had placed seeds along their path and used the cracked vessels to water the seeds sown. Until it was time for them to get on the potter's wheel and be remade.
God is so patient with us, His love cover's us when we are cracked (imperfect) growing little by little.
Keep that in mind when you see a brother or sister who is not walking in all God has given them. Remember God knows when it is time for them to be on the potter's wheel.
A thought came to me, that babies do not go on the potter's wheel until they have grown some.
Babies are coddled and taken care of, spoon fed and we clean up their messes, and we allow them time to learn what they can and cannot do.
Until the time that they understand, that they must endure the pressure, and pulling, and spinning that is needed to remake them into the image of Christ.
We are first born into the family of God. Then we receive the word of God and begin to grow, as we grow by the word and come through our trials, and learn about our new life in Christ, then it is time to go on the potter's wheel. So we must be a willing vessel.
Our will submitted to God's will.
God Bless your day
