LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION.
In the Lord's prayer, He added lead us not into temptation.
Matthew 6:13
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Being tested and tried when confronted with temptation, is a good thing.
It reveals where we are with our walk in the Lord.
How else would we ever know the hidden desires of our heart?
Being tempted will reveal how strong or weak we are in the Lord.
Yes, we are lead to be tempted and tested, when we see our true hearts desires, then we can allow the Holy Spirit to change them, so that we become more like Jesus.
God never tempts us, but he does test us.
We are tempted when we are drawn away with our own desires, and we have taken our eyes off of Jesus. Self-centered.
God the Holy Spirit is revealing those areas in our life that caused us to be miserable and steal our peace and joy.
They seemed good at the time, but later on will turned on us.
James 1:13-16
Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted of God." for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone.
But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death.
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Beloved, you are not alone, we all have been tempted by something.
1Corinthains 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may bear it.
Beloved, if we are led to where we can be tempted, it is only to reveal to us a weak area that needs to be given over to the Holy Spirit,
So that we will be stronger in that area of our soul.
We are blind to our own weak areas, so pray that God will reveal them to you so that you will know what to watch out for.
We all are in different stages of our spiritual growth. Some areas we are very aware of and others are hidden until we are ready to deal with them.
2 Peter 2:9 (read the whole chapter)
then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.
It is out of the love of God that He has for His own, that He will make certain you recognize those weak areas that will cause you to fall, or fail.
We are blinded to those areas until the Holy Spirit who is our teacher, comforter and guide reveals them to us.
Beloved, so important that you read God's word as it is a mirror to show us those spots.
We need to read and fill ourselves with God's word, not the world and all it offers, God breathed words.
His words set the worlds in space.
He said Light Be, and at His word, light was there.
Our God is bigger than we perceive. Too many of us see only what we have been taught by man, or the religious system.
Search for yourself, read, ask the Holy Spirit to show you the wonderful hidden truths.
He will unfold things that you have never thought of. It's all in God's word.
Basic instructions before leaving earth.
Remember, Jesus is the living word.
Beloved, if you fail and fall, pick yourself up and thank Jesus that He has already paid a high price for your freedom with His shed blood.
Being able to see where we have fallen, is all part of the Lord's transformation process.
The process that makes us more like Jesus.
In the temptation of Jesus Christ, Jesus reminded Satan, that He is God and Satan was to worship God only.
Jesus used the word of God against all accusations, as we are to do the same.
We will be tempted at times, do we give in or walk away? It's our choice. Our will, or God's will?
Beloved, we are already clean by the blood of Jesus. Never forget that.
Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
There will be temptations and tests and trials as we follow Jesus, but it's all part of the transforming process to make us more like Jesus.
God Bless your day
Jesus Loves you
