THE GREAT MOVING LIGHT IN THE SKY, ANGELS AND A MESSAGE OF GOOD NEWS.

Luke 2:8-20

On the night that Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. 

Shepherds looking after their sheep, and suddenly they saw an angel from God in the sky.

The angel brought the good news of Jesus birth.

Luke 2:8-11

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over the flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.

Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior who is Christ the Lord.

And because of the star in the sky, Kings from the East, were drawn by the direction of the star.

It was much time after the birth of Jesus.

Awaiting the celebration of Emmanuel, kings from the east are coming to worship Him.

Matthew 2:1

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying "where is He who was born King of the Jews? For we have  seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

It doesn't tell us how many kings came from the East, but we know it was many.

Sadly man's tradition says 3, but God's word doesn't say that.

Jesus was about 2 years old, because he is not called a baby, but a child.

Matthew 2:9-11

When they heard the King, they departed; and behold the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood where the young child was. 

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy, and when they came into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and they fell down and worshiped Him.

And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him; gold frankincense and myrrh.

Man's tradition shows them at His birth, not so.

Reread the account of their visit.

They brought the gold that would be needed for Joseph and Mary and Jesus to flee Herod and go to Egypt. 

God had used the wise men to provide for their needs and safety.

These Wise men were not like the astrologer's of today, these were students of studying the stars.

They saw something different and knew it was  the birth of the King of the Jews.

Remember the Jews were in the East for years and had shared their faith in God and that a Messiah would come.

Matthew 1:24-25 (when Joseph found out Mary was with child, He was going to put her away.)

But God gave Joseph a dream, Joseph obeyed what the angel had told him.

Then Joseph being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took him

his wife and did not know her until she brought forth her first born Son, and he called his name Jesus.  ( the Old King James says Emmanuel, meaning God with us)

Yes, Jesus had brothers and sisters later on.

Beloved, read your bible and get familiar with the true account of Jesus and His family.

Not the religion man has made up. 

When you know the truth you will be set free. Jesus said so!

Rightly dividing the word of truth is so important to our faith in Jesus and our witness to others. 

If outsiders see a discrepancy, they will think the bible is not true. Share the real truth.

Jesus is the living word, so spend some time and study His entrance into this world.

We have a lot of tradition that has been passed down, that is a mixture of mans ideas, half truths.

Stay with the full truth. Sing songs that have the truth.

Like: O Holy Night, and many others. Songs that share the true message of our Savior.

SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE.

Science proves that God's word has it right for sustaining our life. Science says, that we need   four basic elements to sustain life and survive. We need air, water, food, and light. We have it all in Jesus, if we have received Him as our Lord. Science is right. It has proven God's word is true. Acts 17:25 (Paul was speaking about the Unknown God to the men in Athens) Nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, Since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. We need air in order to breathe. When we receive Jesus we have His breath, breathing through our lungs. When we breathe, we speak the name of God. Just speaking His name, we inhale YAH and exhale WEH.   YHWH means breath of life. Our Jewish brothers and sisters know the name of God means breath of God. JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD!!  YOU ARE NOT TO COMMAND HIM,  YOU ARE TO ASK HIM, HONOR HIM, AND RESPECT HIM AND HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.  I have heard some believers young in their faith and understanding, say that they have prayed for such a thing and God will give it to them.
