NEW YEAR WITH NEW BEGINNINGS, NEW BLESSINGS.

Beloved, don't rehash old things from last year.  This is a new year, new start.  

Those things that were hurtful  and disappointing from last year, God will turn to good.  

LEAVE THEM AT THE CROSS.

Isaiah 43:18-19 

Do not remember the former things.  Nor consider the things of old. Behold I do a new thing; Now it shall spring forth, Shall you not know it?  I even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

We all have had a wilderness experience, when we would love to have had a cool refreshing from God's word. 

Waiting for those rivers of living water to flow out. ( Just speak to the Rock)

We were just like the winter trees, that look cold and dead.  

But God is working where we cannot see and He is preparing them for Spring time.

We don't see it, but we know by faith that we will see green leaves again, they will appear as soon as the sun hits the tree and God waters them.

It's the same with our old dead things, as soon as the Son touches them, He will make something beautiful and new out of them.

What beautiful seasons God has given to us,

Like the plants and trees that need their time of rest, so do we. 

Jesus said "come to Him and He will give us rest. This wintertime of our life is a time to regroup and be refreshed by God's word.

Matthew 11:28

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Beloved, we need the rest that Jesus supplies, He alone can provide that rest. Rest for your mind, body and spirit.

Acts 3:19

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

We all miss the mark (sin) from time to time, but allow the Holy Spirit to show you that weakness and He will strengthen you.

We all go through cycles of changes. It's part of the growing process, to be more like Jesus.

Sometimes we jump to conclusions about something in our life, before we know all the details of the thing.

I did this last year, when I texted a friend and received no answer back several times,  My mind said, they are to busy or just don't want to answer.  

Come to find our later I had the wrong number and they had not received my messages.

That person was glad to hear from me, when only one number was off. It has since been corrected.

Have you been there?  Of course you have, because your human.

 As long as we are in this earth suit, we will have moments like that.

There are many who took Jesus as their Savior, but have never allowed Him to be Lord of their life.  They want to control. 

Little do they know know that the desire to control is based out of fear. (2 Timothy 1:7) God has not given us a spirit of fear.

2 Timothy 2:4

No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

As soon as the believer releases their hold on this world and all it has to offer, they will see God move in their life.

Jesus wants to be Lord of our life, He does not force Himself on us, but bids us come!!

God is doing a new thing that we do not understand right now, but later we will understand.

When we got saved, we received the the seed of life.  That seed needs water of the word to grow and change. 

Little by little after water of the word and the Son shining on it, it begins to push its way up out of the old life into the new.

Where blessings , hope grace, mercy and joy await us.

Exodus 23:30

"Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land.

No matter what the flesh craves, sugar, alcohol, money, fame, media, it will be a trap.  

Only the power of the Holy Spirit can break addictions of any kind.

Beloved, we are being changed from glory to glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Religion says, you fix yourself, stop doing the wrong things, use what the world offers, but beloved, that work belongs to the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 31:1

Woe to those who go down to Egypt (world and its system)

for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong,  But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the Lord.

  So learn to cooperate with the Holy Spirit when He reveals something that needs to change. 

He will give you the strength that you need to overcome your weakness, or addictions.

It is His strength in us, not we ourselves trying to figure everything out.

Enjoy the New Year the Lord has given to us, and no matter what we hear or think, stay connected to God's word.  

So much deception in the world. Don't fill your mind with all the bad news, when you have the good news to feed on.

New year, New revelation, new understanding, of God's word and His power in us.

2 Corinthians 12:10

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.
