THERE IS A TIME AND SEASON FOR EVERYTHING, INCLUDING OUR WALK WITH THE LORD.
Have you ever noticed that as the seasons change so do we? (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
Ecclesiastes 3:1
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: (Read 1-8)
We also have seasons in our life.
When at times we have little fellowship with others and other times we have great fellowship. We have a time of new understanding, and of seeing our Lord in a new light. Brighter than before.
As we grow in the Lord our inner circle seems to get smaller, and that is okay, as the Holy Spirit is doing a work in our life.
Don't look at what's past, but instead look ahead, having an expectant mind and heart knowing that God is moving things around in your life and adding new people in our life.
When we choose to follow Jesus all the way, and shake off this world and its system, people will leave our life.
Some want one foot in and one foot out, they twist the scriptures to fit their desires.
That doesn't work!! Take another lap around the mountain. (Like the children of Israel did)
When we choose to use worldly methods, we limit what God desires to do in our life.
God will not force Himself on anyone, they must surrender and come to Him willingly.
Do worldly methods work? Sometimes for short periods of time, but they will not last.
Whereas, all that God does is lasting and complete.
People will leave our life by their choice, its perfectly okay. It is part of our journey.
2Timothy 4:10
Be diligent to come to me quickly; for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica--Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.
1John 2:15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves this world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:19-20
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
Beloved, we have all been there. Having relationships that we were sure would be there for us in hard times. They we not there.
We forgave them and prayed for them and moved on.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
It is so important for us to renew our mind, as we pick up things that are not good for us, and as we renew our mind in the word of God, it will change our perspective on things.
It's like a bright light shining on our thought life. God's word will change you! Wash you.
No matter how good something sounds, we are to be a Berean's and check it with the word of God.
Remember the enemy masquerades as an angel of light. He is always trying to divert us from God's full truth.
Always renounce what you believe you have picked up that is not of God.
2Corinthians 4:1-3
Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
The worlds Jesus, is not the Jesus of the word of God!
They pick and choose only the good things and omit the warnings and the whole counsel of God.
The Jesus of the Bible, the place where all of the word of God is in a balance for our admonition, gives us warnings and correction. Hope and mercy.
A disciple is one who is disciplined and corrected in the transforming process.
God loves us too much to leave us orphans and not provide the full truth of His word.
Yes, beloved, we have special seasons in our life.
Changing seasons. Growing seasons.
Yes, people will leave our life at times. Sometimes to return, other times they choose to go their own way.
Some are there for a reason, and some for a season, and some for a lifetime, to encourage and love one another through the good times and the bad. That is a true believer.
There will be a time that we are leaving this world. Jesus will come for us, and we will be where He is.
John 14:3
And I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
So beloved, take an inventory of your thought life, of what you have been told or heard. Does it measure up to the word of God?
If not, renounce it all and ask The Holy Spirit to cleanse your mind with the word of God.
We have a new year coming. We hopefully have grown in our faith.
I know I see things in Gods word with a brighter light then last year.
God has revealed new understanding of the scriptures that I have read for years.
Do you ever feel that when you pick up the bible and begin to read it that you receive something new?
Of course you do, because the Holy Spirit who is our teacher unfolds God's word.
As we grow, we will understand more and more of God's plans and intentions.
So look forward to a new year and new Spiritual growth. Those growing pains will stretch you.
Apply the blood of Jesus to your body, soul and spirit. Keep your focus on The Jesus of the word of God.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
