WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR.
First we should be very thankful for our salvation, that Jesus loves us so much that He came to save us,
2Corinthians 9:15
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
Psalm 100:4-5
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with Praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His Name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.
Beloved, if you can read this, be thankful for eye sight. A mind to reason with.
When we come to the Lord in prayer, do we thank Him first, before we give our petition?
Do we take the time to enjoy His presence and let Him know how grateful we are to belong to Him.
Thank Him for His goodness, faithfulness, and mercy.
God already knows our needs before we ask, so enjoy His fellowship and spend time being thankful. That's where we will experience His fullness of joy.
When I was in ICU at the hospital after dying 3 times in 6 weeks, I was so grateful to see family members sitting there when I came out of my coma.
My family and extended family were there, someone different each day.
What a blessing just to know they were there.
I believe that is how the Lord feels, when we just come to be with Him, show our love and appreciation to Him. Having a thankful heart!
We show Him we are truly thankful.
What is the difference between being grateful and thankful?
Being grateful is showing appreciation for something done or received.
Being thankful is feeling pleased.
Beloved, we should be both thankful and grateful for our Lord and all He is doing in our life.
For sending the Holy Spirit to be with us forever, always by our side, teaching us, warning us when there is danger, or when we get off track.
The Holy Spirit is there in all we face in this life in Jesus, we are being transformed daily little by little.
When we learn to be thankful in all things, we will have less stress and worry.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Ephesians 5:20
giving thanks for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Notice that we are to give thanks for all things and in all things, no matter what it is, as we do this, we release all stress and worry as it is all in God's hands now.
We know that God is in control.
So Beloved, have a grateful attitude and a thankful heart.
It's not easy at times when we are focused on our circumstances, but focus on Jesus and release all worry.
Circumstances will change and good will come out of it, if we are focusing on Jesus.
Happy Thanksgiving for all, and remember love your neighbor as yourself.
Enjoy your time with family and friends.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
