THE CRIME OF NOT BELIEVING IN GOD'S FAITHFULNESS
Why is not believing in God's faithfulness a crime?
Because it robs us of the many blessings that God has for us.
It is lack of faith, lack of trust in all God has said in His word.
He is faithful!!
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
God loves and cares about every detail of our life.
God Himself providing a gift of faith through His grace that we have received when we came to Him for salvation.
Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
When Jesus was raised from the dead, Thomas, refused to believe. Jesus met Thomas in his time of unbelief.
(Thomas was not with the disciples when Jesus came the first time.) John 20:19-23.
John 20:24-29
Now Thomas called the twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.
The other disciples therefore said to him "We have seen the Lord." so he said to them, "unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe."
After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them, Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!"
Then He said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and look at my hands; and reach your hand here, and put it in my side. Do not be unbelieving, but believe."
Then Thomas answered and said to Him, "my Lord and my God!"
Jesus said to him, "Thomas because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen Me and yet believe."
Beloved, Jesus met Thomas in his time of unbelief, and He will do the same for you. Call on Him, when you believe that you have no faith left in you.
You do have it, as it was part of the grace given to you. God's measure of faith.
When we allow the thoughts about God's not being faithful in our life, we lose out on so many blessings and especially, peace of mind, and rest for our soul.
Beloved, as we feed on God's word we will receive more and more faith to believe in God's goodness.
READ the prayer that Jesus prayed for His disciples. John 17:1-26.
It is a real eye opener, as all that He prayed for them, includes those of us who love and follow Jesus, and have received Him as Lord of our life.
Beloved, STOP! having faith in your faith, Have faith in God.
Yes, we have faith to do our chores and other things in this life, but when it comes to God and believing all Jesus has said, that's when we have to have faith and trust that God has our best interest in mind, and is always working things out, no matter how long it seem to take.
I have prayed for years for some family members, and I have a peace that God is moving in their life.
One day I was reminding God of that prayer and I heard in my spirit, "I heard you the first time" that is when a great peace came over me.
Beloved, God is always working behind the scenes, He has people and circumstances in place to bring an answer, it is in His timing and His way.
Pray and thank Jesus that the answer is on the way.
We have to learn to trust, pray about your situation, leave it in the Lord's hands and when a peace comes, stop praying and start rejoicing that the answer is on the way.
Paul prayed three times and got his answer from the Lord. Then he moved on to his ministry.
In the garden before his arrest, Jesus prayed three times also, until He had a peace. Matthew 26: 39-45.
All the examples that we need about prayer and God's faithfulness are all in His word.
Unbelief is very serious, as it it listed in Revelation as a sin.
Revelation 21:7-8
"He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be my son.
"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murders, sexual immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
This list is about those who are not saved, who refused the great salvation that God provided for them.
How sad that in the end they will know what a mistake they made.
Jesus is always ready to forgive and start the transforming power in anyone's life who willing come to Him.
Beloved, have faith in God, He alone will change things in your life for the better.
Don't allow the crime of unbelief to set into your thinking. Cast it off and feed your faith on God's word.
Like the father in Mark 9:24.
He asked Jesus to to help his unbelief.
God will help us when we find ourselves in unbelief.
We all go through it, we decide our prayer is taking too long so I will do it.
Then we crash and wonder why.
Taking things in our own hands is like having unbelief that God heard our prayer and doesn't care.
What an insult to Gods faithfulness.
Yes it is a crime to have unbelief in our heart. When you do, you are being robbed of so much good.
Trust God, no matter what the circumstances may be.
God will not fail His child whom He loves and is watching over.
Father gave us Jesus so we would know His love and have faith and trust in the Lord.
God Bless your day
Jesus loves you
Love in Jesus
