WE SHOULD PRAY TO GOD OFTEN AND DAILY, AND BE THANKFUL. PART 1
We should thank God for another day. We should pray for protection, God's word tells us He protects us.
We should pray protection for our family, friends and neighbors, and all the Spiritual leaders. all government leaders.
2Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
The Lord is our Shepherd, He will protect His sheep. (Psalm 23)
Pray for direction and guidance and transformation.
Paul's prayer
Colossians 1:9-14
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to is glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakes of the inheritance of the saints in light.
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, and forgiveness of sins.
Ephesians 3:14-19
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
that He would grant you, according to His riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.
Beloved, Paul gave us two great examples of how to pray. Here are 9 things you can pray for your loved ones and yourself. From Ephesians and Colossians.
Pray these prayers for yourself daily. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas in your life that need to be transformed, changed and renewed.
Sometimes we need to be humble, or we could be prone to gossip, or fear and anxiety, or self-centeredness.
These are areas that need the transforming power of the word of God.
Philippians 1:6
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Pray for all your neighbors, pray for open doors to share your faith in Jesus.
Pray that you will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and obey, no matter how odd it may seem.
Ezekiel 36:27
"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My judgments and do them.
God chooses people and things that we would not humanly understand, that is why we need spiritual understanding.
We need spiritual understanding so that we know what the Spirit wants to tell us and then we can obey.
Do we please ourselves? or do we obey God for the good of others? Think on this.
Roman 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Beloved, our minds must be renewed daily, as we grow in the Lord we begin to see things differently, more mature, with the spiritual wisdom from God.
Beloved, pray, pray, pray, all prayer is, it's communicating with God, talking to Him from your heart because you know He loves you.
You can pray on your knees, or in the car as you drive, or with your eyes open.
Talking to our Lord, whom we love is a joy and a peace. When we enter His presence we are connecting to the God of heaven.
Prayer is not just talking, it is also listening to what the Lord wants to say. It is a time of fellowship with Jesus.
Read Psalm 91, prayer of protection.
I have a book about this subject. That in world war 11, the soldiers were surrounded with no way out and the enemy was closing in on them. They prayed Psalm 91, and help came out of nowhere, a boat to take them to safety.
Angels move when they hear the word of God.
Psalm 103:20
Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.
Did you know the word of God has a voice?
So enjoy your prayer times and share with others to pray often.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
