NEW YEAR, NEW PEOPLE, NEW GROWTH IN JESUS.
When we enter a New Year we can expect new things in our life.
Something new is: something that has not been before. Something recently created, something appearing for the first time.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a NEW thing. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
In the days ahead that God has prepared for us, He will introduce us to NEW relationships, people that we can share our faith in Jesus with.
Or people that are already mature and have much to share with us. Iron sharpens Iron.
There will be NEW provision for our assignments ahead.
We will experience NEW relationships that the Holy Spirit will carry us through our days with.
The Holy Spirit has much to share with us that will be NEW to our former understanding.
He loves to teach us and reveal hidden secrets about God and His kingdom.
There will be NEW types of discipline in our walk with Jesus. New things that babes in Christ were not ready for yet.
1 Corinthians 3:1-2
And I brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as carnal, as to babes in Christ.
I fed you with milk and not solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you still re not able.
Beloved there is a time for our spiritual growth, when we are no longer self-centered, causing strife, and divisions, behaving as unsaved people.
When we are growing in the Lord we are to understand that obedience to His word is vital to our spiritual growth.
2Peter 3:18
But grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever.
Little things we use to get away with, we no longer can, we feel the tug of the Holy Spirit saying grow-up!
Attitudes, and prejudices must go. God will deal with us on these issues.
We need to think things through, measure our thoughts with God's word, long before we make a move in any direction or speak it out.
NEVER NEVER RUN AHEAD OF GOD!
Sometimes a New thought will enter our head and we think it is a good thing. It may not be a God thing.
Learn to wait on Jesus, He is right there beside you, all His paths are peace. If there is confusion, do not act upon your thought.
The old familiar things we are use to will be in the past. NEW things from God will promote spiritual growth. There will be a pruning process. (Next weeks lesson)
Expect new direction, new understanding, new blessings because of obedience to God's word.
Beloved it is a New Year, much to look forward to.
Look for the good in everything that comes into your life. God plans our days and walks through them with us.
Be thankful that you have a NEW YEAR to live for Jesus. That you will have New opportunities to reveal God's love and nature.
Happy New Year
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
