WW ARE SAVED, WE ARE BEING SAVED. AND WE WILL BE SAVED.
We all need a refresher course, a reminder of what God's word speaks to us about our salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord.
For those that are young in the Lord, you need this lesson so that you will not get confused as to whether you are saved by grace through faith or not.
When reading your bible, you will see places that say you are being saved, you are saved and you will be saved.
Romans 10:8-10
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (That is the word of faith which we preach); that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Beloved, when someone gives a gift to you receive it, thank them for it.
Jesus gave us the gift of salvation when He took our place on the cross and paid for all our sin. He gave us the gift of salvation.
But our soul, our mind, our self- will and emotions, the deepest part pf our being, needs saving.
Romans 8:12-14
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
True we have been given a new spirit, and old things are passed away and all things are becoming new.
It is the things in our life, that are becoming new. Being transformed into the image of Christ our Lord.
How we think, how we react to situations, do we ask ourselves, what would Jesus do?
While in the world we picked up ideas and habits, that are contrary to our God and the Holy Spirit that you received when you repented of your old life, and entered your new life of faith in Jesus.
So beloved, our soul needs to be saved. How we think, and that of our being self-centered, all needs to change. Needs to be transformed.
This only happens by being discipled and learning about the God you have agreed to follow. Study God's word!
Jesus was a perfect reflection of His Father God, and He revealed to us how we are to treat each other and love each other and extend grace to each other when we fail.
The need to be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ is a daily process.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We renew our mind by living and applying God's word to our life.
It is a wonderful journey to follow Jesus.
Committing your day to the Lord and doing what His word says to do. Obedience, and confession are important.
James 4:7
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double -minded.
Romans 8:7
Because the carnal ( natural mind is enmity against God); for it is not subject to God, nor indeed can be.
When we are double minded, we cannot see truth. Our perception is off.
We can not have the mind of the worlds ways and God's mixed together.
Because when we fail, or are weak in an area of our walk, our conscience will condemn us.
Confess and moved forward. Allow the Holy Spirit to do His work.
It is so good to confess to one another our faults and be healed. This takes humility.
We are already forgiven, (1John 2:1-3) but we do need to acknowledge our sin (missing the mark) trespasses or faults.
James 5:16
Confess your faults or trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
That will give us a clear conscience and the enemy cannot use that against us. Putting shame and guilt and sickness on us.
By the stripes of Jesus we are healed.
Beloved, we will be saved from the wrath of God coming on the earth.
We will return to the earth with our Lord. So we know He will deliver us from the great wrath the world will experience.
Colossians 3:4
When Christ who is our life appears, then you will also appear with Him in glory.
1Corinthians 15:51-53
Behold, I tell you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.
For the corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Yes, beloved, we are saved, and we are being saved, and we will be saved.
What a glorious time that will be, when our Jesus we will see.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
