Trusting God in time of famine

There are two kinds of famine.  One is a famine of the hearing of the word of God.

Amos 8:11

Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord,  "That I will send a famine on the land,  Not a famine of bread, nor of thirst for water,  but of the hearing the words of the Lord.

(because of their idols of sin They will not hear Gods voice.

There is also a famine of food.

We have many resources, but only one true source.  Jesus is our source for all we need.

Philippians 4:19

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

As the birth pangs continue on the earth,  we see weather changes, unusual signs in the heavens and we hear rumors of lack of food.

Beloved, the world is not our source of supply.

JESUS IS!

Look how He supplied for the disciples who were discouraged after fishing all night.

John 21:5-6

Then Jesus said to them, Children do you have any food?"  They answered Him, "No"

And He said to them,  "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

As you can see God has given us many lessons in His word about His provision.

God is our source of supply in whatever we need.

Just as He fed the 5000, and 4000, He will feed you.

We may enter a barter system, someone has sugar, they will share, someone else has flour, they will share.  This system worked well during WWll.  Everyone helped their neighbor.

We are all in this together until Jesus comes for us.

Beloved, as the disciples went with what Jesus had given thanks for, that is when the multiplication occurred.

As we also go to help others we will see things multiply.

These stories in the bible are there for us to build our faith and trust in God's provision.

Remember we are surrounded by ministering angels.

I had an experience in my office where there are hundreds of books.

One appeared on the floor and I did not put it there.

I heard the Spirit say, read it.  It was exactly what I needed at that time.  Our angels are here to help us and they are busy in the unseen realm.

Psalm 103:20

Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.

Another time, I found a picture of one of my grand-daughters on my tile floor in the living room.  I did not remove it from my office, yet there it was.

I thanked the Lord for letting me know she needed me to pray for her. A short time later

When she came to visit me, I shared the story with her and her friend as they were on their way to California. I prayed with them.

Beloved, we are too blessed to be stressed over things we hear. Much of what we hear is just not true.

Let God hear you reading His word and see you applying it to your life.

Trust God, no matter what it sounds like or looks like, He will supply.

DO NOT ALLOW FEAR TO ENTER YOUR MIND.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,  And lean not on your own understanding;  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

There is a war going on in our mind, there is someone vying for our attention, to misdirect us.

That is why it is so important that you fill yourself full of Gods word.  That way you can counteract those thoughts and cast them down.

We are to listen to that still small voice to lead us.  Turn off all the distractions, and get quiet in the presence of God.

We are to be still, stay calm when we hear things that disrupt our peace in the Lord.

Remember God's word is clear, cast all your care on Him, for He cares for you.

Psalm 46:10

Be still and know that I am God;  I will be exalted among the nations,  I will be exalted in the earth.

Yes, there will be many things coming on the earth, but just remember who you belong to and that He will bring you through.

Yes, we will have some resources, like people, money, knowledge, but they are NOT our source,

GOD IS!

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

Listening to that still small voice makes the difference! I was out hiking and had stopped to sit and pray down by the river. The starlings were making a racket and zooming all over, but then I heard it, the softer sweet sound of an osprey on her nest, calling to her mate. It was then that God reminded me not to get distracted by the noise. Sit quietly and listen for His voice. He calls to us and speaks quietly against the noise which, when you think about it, will be the loudest because we will hear and know it is God.

He will take care of His children. He said clearly in His word that He will never leave us nor forsake us. We must stand firm on His promises daily and always remember that He loves us and our daddy is KING of kings and LORD of lords and He will supply everything we need. Exciting times we are living in and just think all of us here God has chosen us to be alive at such a time at this. What a blessing to be able to see all that’s going on. Yes it’s scary but Gods children who are seeking Him in spirit and in truth will have that beautiful peace that surpasses ALL understanding. Woo hoo!!! Great things are coming and most importantly is Jesus is coming soon. So lace up those combat boots daily put that armor on and march on soldiers there is work to be done and souls to be saved. 🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻
