The great benefits of the suffering that was on the cross of Christ for all believers.

The word of God tells us plainly that we have benefits from the Lord.

We need to know what those benefits are and live by them.

Psalm 103:1-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.  Who forgives all your iniquities,  who heals all your diseases.

Who redeems your life from destruction,  who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things,  So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

1.  One of the benefits that we trade is our death for His life.

We were all dead in trespasses and sins,

Ephesians 2:1

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

2.  Jesus Christ gave us His righteousness.

2Corinthians 5:21

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

1 Peter 2:24

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed.

3.  He took our curse, so that we can receive His blessing.

Galatians 3:13-14

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree")

that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

4.  We traded our  griefs and sorrows for His joy.

Isaiah 53:4-5

Surely He bore our griefs and sorrows;  Yet we esteemed Him stricken,  Smitten by God, and afflicted,  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities:  The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

What a great exchange and tradeoff, we are so blessed of God to be in the family of God, being His beloved, and knowing that we are so loved that God sent us Jesus. (John 3:16)

John 15:10-11

"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in his love,  "these things

I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

Beloved, do not allow sorrow to remain in your thought life.  Remind yourself of the joy Jesus placed in you.

Whatever is making you sad, focus on the benefits of the cross Jesus bore for you.

5. Jesus bore our shame, and gave us His glory.

John 17:22

"And the glory which You gave me I have given them,  that they may be one just as we are one.

Beloved, there are so many benefits that we have received when we receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

He is Savior first, then as we grow in Him and study and know His word, we allow Him to be Lord of our life, and we allow the Holy Spirit to disciple us.

He is our teacher.

Spend quality time in the word and shut out all distractions.  Focus on Jesus and the throne of God.

Come boldly to the throne of God and tell Jesus everything that is on your mind.  (we call that prayer) Just talking to your Lord Jesus from your heart.

6.  Remember that Jesus took our rejection so that we can be the accepted of God.  We are accepted in the beloved!

7. Jesus took our lack and  poverty and  gave us His riches of all the blessings belonging to us.

2. Corinthians 8: 9

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

This isn't just finances, it is rich in all the blessings of God.

Rehearse all these benefits and enjoy your life in Jesus,

He is coming soon for His church, keep a watchful eye on the things of God as the world is perishing.

Share your faith with others, love the unlovable and guard your heart from all deceptions, there are many in this old world system.

Believe God's word over anything you hear or read.

Measure it all with the word of God that is settled in heaven forever. (Psalm 119:89)

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

Love in Jesus
