Are you having an intimate relationship with Jesus.

 There are many different Jesus' people worship.  One of their own making. Cults around the world have a different Jesus.

I want to talk about the Jesus of the bible.  The one who gave His life for you and me.

Jerimiah 29:12-14

Then they will call upon Me and go pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

To have an intimate relationship with Jesus our Lord and Savior, we must spend quality time with Him.  Looking into His word in order to have a deep understanding of just who He is and what He wants from you.

INTIMACY means: (Into me He sees. Yes He sees) all we are and will be.

Philippians 2: 6-9

Who being in the form of God did not consider it robbery to be equal with God.

but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient  to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name that is above every name.

This is the Jesus I know and love and the one written about in the bible.

Though He was part of the Trinity, with all the qualities of the Godhead, yet He chose to live as a man.  He chose to be lessor than God for our sakes, so He could fulfill all the law.

To restore us back to our Father God.

Adam failed, Jesus prevailed.

He sent us the Holy Spirit so that we could know we can have an intimate relationship with Him.

Father wanted us to know the true nature of God, so Jesus was born of a virgin and lived like a man, until it was time for Him to reveal Himself as the Lord, the Savior of the world.

Through Jesus we gain the true nature of our Father that loves us so much that He sent Jesus.

Jesus is not a religion, He is the lover of our soul.

Though we have built a religion around Him.

John 10:14

I AM the good shepherd;  and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.

John 10:27-28

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  And I give them eternal life,, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

God has good plans for His children and they are plans to help us understand more and more of Him.

Having an intimate relationship with Jesus our Lord, is something we continue to cultivate.

Its not just on Sunday or Wednesday that we spend time with Jesus, it is an every day acknowledgement of His presence in our life.

In everything we do or wherever we go.

Having an intimate relationship with Jesus has  great health benefits.

Psalm 103:1-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!  Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not ALL His benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,  who redeems your life from destruction,  who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things,  So that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

Yes, I use this scripture often, as there is so much to glean from it. Study it and see Jesus on the cross as you read it.  He provided all that you read in this Psalm and so much more.

When we are blessing the Lord, we are healthier, more at peace and relaxed, this builds up our immune system. That is why our youth will be renewed as the eagles.

We reduce stress in our life when we have a intimate relationship with Our Lord!

Experience the peace and joy of drawing near to the Lord.

We are a needy people, we need to spend quality time with Jesus.  We are so humbled in His presence. He is Lord!!

Beloved, make time in your day to read God's word and pray and worship the Lord.  You will be much happier and content in your life as you do, free from all the guilt and shame that sin produces.

If you don't know the Jesus of the bible, now is a good time to put your faith in Him and His finished work on the cross. Just call His name, He is Immanuel, God with us. 

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

By faith receive His sacrifice for you.  He will give you a whole new life.  One that will last through all eternity. 

Freedom from all the guilt and shame that the devil puts on you. Be free in Jesus. Who the Son sets free is free indeed.

Enjoy an intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us. God's word is a light unto our path.  Psalms 119:104-105 Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
