Are you faithful to use the gifts that God has given to you?

If you are born of the Spirit of God, then you have been given gifts to use in the body of Christ.

Ephesians 4:7-8

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

"Therefore He ascended on high.  He lead captivity captive, And gave gifts to men."

When we have been given a gift we need to unwrap it and use it.  Enjoy it and thank God for it.

Beloved, God has given all of us certain gifts to bring glory to God and to bless others.

I love how the Lord adds to our faith when He sees that we are faithful for what He has given us.

As He sees that we are faithful in the addition of our gifts, He then multiplies the fruit that the gifts produced.

Acts 2:46-47

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house,  they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,  Praising God and having favor with all people.  And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

When we are faithful in using our gifts, then God will add to our efforts to make a difference.

When the disciples took the loaves and fishes to the crowd, it was as they went in obedience to Jesus that the food multiplied.  Once Jesus had blessed the food it had to multiply.

When God has blessed our efforts to obey Him, whatever we do, it too will multiply.

Yes, the Lord adds first, then He multiplies.

Luke 16:10-12

"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much;  and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust in much."

"Therefore if you have not been faithful in unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust true riches?

And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own?

Can you see where God has honored your faithfulness and multiplied your fruit produced for His kingdom by you using  you and your gifts?

Acts 3:1-8

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.  And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms, and fixing his eyes on him with John, Peter said "Look at us."  So he gave his attention expecting to receive something from them.

Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you;  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.

He took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.  So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

Peter and John knew that it was not about them, but it was about the power in the name of Jesus. The gift that Jesus gave them to use.

Peter took him by his right hand because at the right hand of the Father is where the power is.  Jesus is there.

It is interesting that Luke made an effort when writing about this account in the book of Acts, that He made the point of the right hand.  Think on this.

Luke 12:40-44

"Therefore you also be ready,  for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect."  Then Peter said to him, "Lord do you speak this parable only to us, or to all people." And the Lord said " Who then is faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

Blessed is that servant whom his master will find doing when he comes. "Truly,  I say to you that he will make him ruler over all he has.

Jesus was talking about being faithful with all we have been given.

Proverbs 28:20

A faithful man will abound with blessings,  But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.

Psalm 31:23

Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints!  For the Lord preserves the faithful,  and fully repays the proud person.

Beloved, you can use your time to pray for others, you can share your resources with others, if you think you have little to offer, then ask God to add to what you do have.

Some have a gift of boldness.  They will give counsel with a heart of love,  being firm yet kind.

There are  gifts of encouragement, teaching gifts, preaching gifts and there are many gifts that are useful to the body of Christ.  It could be sewing, cooking, or helping to organize something. Taking some one where they need to go.

Spending time with a sick friend, or with someone that is grieving a loss.

There are multiple gifts that are to be used to help others.

Beloved, be faithful with what God has given you and see the blessings that He has planned for your being faithful.

Remember that one of the fruit of the Spirit is faithfulness. All the attributes of the Holy Spirit are listed for our learning.

Galatians 5:22-23 (One fruit, multi-faceted, just like One God)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, against such there is no law.

Beloved, be faithful, full of faith and obedience to God's word, allowing God to use your gifts.

God bless your day

Jesus loves you

Love in Jesus

Joy

We all have something to bless others with.
