If Jesus Christ were to return today, are you ready?

All of us need to do a check-up list occasionally. Are we harboring unforgiveness.  Or anything that the enemy can use against us to place us in condemnation.  Forgive yourself, and move on. We pick up dirt from the world.  When Jesus washed the disciples feet He was making a statement for them to follow. Wash each others feet.  We need to be servants to one another, and guard and care for one another.  Not one of us are perfect, but Praise God we are being perfected daily. James 5:19-20 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,  let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. Like Jesus watched over His disciples, so we are to care for one another. We are all connected as one body. If one hurts we all hurt. Some churches are lacking in this area.  They will call you and ask how you are.  Others will offer to pray for you and...

Experiencing God's manifest presence.

How do we experience God's manifest presence? We experience God's presence when we worship from our heart and praise is on our lips, for the One who loves us unconditionally. We find joy and rest in the presence of the Lord. Exodus 33:14 And He said "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."  When we put God our Father first in our life we will sense His manifest presence.  It will be evident in our speech, in our actions and reactions to stimuli around us. The fact is, that God is around at all times whether we sense it or not.  There are special times that we do feel God's presence, but not all the time. But when we do sense His presence it is clear and convincing that Jesus, through the Holy Spirit is right here, right now. When we don't sense God's presence,  that is when we are temped to go off  the path that God gives us, the path to mature and bless us as we grow.  Anxiety, fear, anger, listening to lies of our enemy, will all c...

Do you have a love relationship with Jesus, or a religious obligation?

Do you have a love relationship with Jesus?   Here is what one looks like coming from God's word. Psalm 63:1-5 O God, You are my God;  Early will I seek You; My soul thirst for You, My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory,  Because of Your lovingkindness is better than life,  My lips shall praise You.  Thus I will bless You while I live;  I will lift up my hands in Your name.  My soul shall be satisfied as the marrow and fatness, my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. That describes a loving relationship with God. David expressed what our hearts should feel in our love relationship with Jesus. Ask yourself, do I have a love relationship with Jesus or a religious obligation?  Do I have to go to church or do I want to be around my brothers and sisters who love Jesus? We are all in this together. With different gifts and callings....

IT IS A NEW DAY, WE ARE TO ENJOY IT.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. My Pastor Jack Hayford, years ago use to enter the sanctuary saying this scripture. It really stuck with me. Don't start your day with broken pieces of yesterday, every day is fresh and new, prepared just for you. Are you overly concerned about what people think about you?  Are you overly protective of self ? (fear) Do you have a concern that what you say may offend? If you do, take authority over the spirit of fear.  You have love and power and a sound mind. If you have prayed and given your day to the Lord, the Holy Spirit will fill your mouth with the right words. Are you allowing what others think about you to affect the choices you make? Have you forgotten that we are crucified with Christ? Remind yourself, what really matters is what God thinks and says about you His child, and that you obey His word with a heart of love. To often we allow the enemy to bring up our failures, the ones...
