Our Salvation comes first, then sanctification will take place.

To be sanctified is to be set apart for sacred use and purposes in the kingdom of God.

It is for the purpose to make one holy and productive.

Beloved, this work in our life is sometimes painful, it causes us to see ourselves as we are, needing to be transformed.

To become more like Jesus.

John 17:17  (Jesus prayer to the Father for His disciples)

"Sanctify them by Your truth.  Your word is truth.

Pray that God will give you a great hunger to know His word and study it.

Beloved, it is the work of the Holy Spirit in your life that will do the changing, you cooperate with the promptings in your heart to allow the sanctifying work to be done in you. Let go and Let God!

You cannot change yourself, so quit trying, you will get tired and quit. It's God's work in you that must take place.

Philippians 1:6

being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ

You must die to yourself and live for others.

While the sanctifying process is going on, we will have some rough days as you already know.

Tests and trials that will cause us to die to all we think is right and good for us, and we are to allow the Holy Spirit to replace those things with things that are in God's will and His plan.

Hebrews 10:14

For one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Please notice the praise, "those who are being"

This will be an on going process until we see Jesus face to face.

We are becoming more and more like Him.

God sees us already sanctified, but the Holy Spirit will accomplish the work and we will know we are growing in our walk with Jesus when we have a great peace about what we see the Holy Spirit doing in us.

He cleans out the things in our heart that no longer belong there.

We are already sanctified, that is we are set apart for the work of the Holy Spirit, He will show us what it means to be holy, in our thoughts, and conduct.

Hebrews 12:14

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see God.

2Thessalonians 2:13

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because through  God from the beginning chose you for salvation through the sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

Beloved, the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit will mature us and lead us into the perfect will of God for our lives.

But if we need chastening, endure it, it is for our good, the peaceable fruit of the Spirit will be evident in our life after we have been disciplined.

Discipline is all part of the process of being sanctified.

Beloved, it is not about you, but it is about Jesus who lives in you through the Holy Spirit.

Will we fall and fail, yes, but we will get up and keep going forward not looking back.

We will receive conviction of the Holy Spirit, but we will not receive condemnation from our enemy, be it flesh or the devil or other people.

Don't be hard on yourself, its not your work, but the Holy Spirit's work.

It takes time and circumstances in our life before we will see that we think different, act different, react in a different way, love differently, and it takes time for God's great love to manifested in our life. (Unconditional love)

We were all born self-centered. You cannot fix yourself. Only through prayer, and feeding on God's word can you be transformed.

When we are hard on ourselves, we are not trusting the Holy Spirit to do the work.  We are to rest in God.

So, see yourself as God see you, and know that He loves you too much to leave you as He found you.

Let the process begin!!

Accept the growing pains and praise God when they come. Sanctification is taking place.

God Bless your day

Jesus loves you

Love in Jesus

Joy
