Has the two edged sword cut you in places that really hurt?
Do you see that we are under the judgment of God?
He warns His children before judgment falls on them. Its not His wrath, but it is His judgment.
911 was a big warning, yet the repentance didn't last.
It has to hurt for God to get our attention, the word of God is a two edged sword, it cuts and causes pain, yet it also heals. (Proverbs 4:20-23)
Hebrews 4:12-13
For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
As I was studying Hebrews 12, I began to see a pattern for discipline, so that the righteousness of God would be evident in our lives as believers and followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 12:11
Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless; afterwards it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
As the Holy Spirit trains us in boot camp, we will become more and more like Jesus.
Training takes discipline and learning to let go of certain things. No crutches here!
When is the last time you searched your heart to see if you have any prejudice there toward people of different races?
Remember Moses sister who became a leper, all because she spoke against Moses, because of his Ethiopian wife?
(Numbers 12:1-10)
Beloved, if you find any prejudice in your heart about any race, you will be under the chastening of the Lord.
God is looking for the fruit of righteousness in His children and if it is not there then there will be a chastening. All because God loves us too much to leave us in the sin that so easily besets us.
Be quick to repent of any thoughts that are negative about another race of people, or the acts of others you disagree with.
Remember God made us all of one blood. (Acts 17:26)
Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
It's time to ask ourselves, why has the judgment fallen on us as a people and as a church?
Beloved, we have neglected to follow God's word, and we have given our time to other things while all hell is breaking loose all around us.
It is time to pray and get serious about what God's word says to us through the Holy Spirit. Prayer changes things, God changes people.
Jesus has warned us in the book of Revelation, what He expects the church to be. Golden, with no impurities. Gold doesn't shine until all impurities are out of it.
It is to be a picture of Jesus Himself. It is to be righteous and holy (set apart) from all that the world is.
Beloved, spend time with Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to give you direction and it will be followed by God's peace, because He loves you.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
