REPENTANCE COMES BEFORE SOME ANSWERED PRAYER.
ALL BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST AND HIS DISCIPLES, MUST SEARCH THEIR HEART AND REPENT BEFORE EXPECTING SOME ANSWERED PRAYER.
SOME ANSWERED PRAYERS MAY COME QUICKLY BUT OTHERS THAT NEED REPENTANCE FIRST, MAY TAKE A WHILE.
There are so many of us that have allowed to many things to come before the Lord.
We have had our own idea of what we thought was for the Lord, yet a spirit of fear was behind it.
We hang onto things just in case God doesn't come through, beloved that is not faith and it is not trusting God!
We told ourselves at the sports game on Sunday, we could miss church and support our team.
Have you noticed that God has used man to shut down all the idols that came before him?
I remember when stores were closed on Sunday, I also remember when ball teams were open on Sunday, it sent a chill down my spine.
I wondered way back then, how long the Lord will put up with the idols that we have made.
No, this is not legalism, it is bible. We no longer belong to this world, so it stands to reason that God would reveal anything that will take away from our growth and getting ready to meet Him.
God said there should be no other gods before Him. Let's be honest, is Jesus first in your morning and life.
Matthew 13:18-22 (from the parable of the sower)
"Therefore hear the parable of the sower:
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart, this is he who received seed by the wayside.
But he who received the seed among sony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while.
For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Now he who received seed among thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
(Notice Jesus said unfruitful, not unsaved) we all go through these stages of growth.
We rob ourselves of that wonderful fruitfulness, that ads joy to our life. Instead of fruitfulness we have accepted stress, frustration and unrest.
I use this as an example of the parable of the seeds, because so many have gotten caught up in one of these areas.
Mainly the cares of this world.
If you see yourself in any of these areas of your life, then repent, change your mind and run toward Jesus.
That's the place of peace and rest for your soul. Other cares of this world, will rob you of sleep and health, peace of mind.
If you want to see answered prayer in your life, search your heart, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden thing or motive or attitude that does not measure up to the word of God.
We all have areas in our life that we are blinded to, until the Holy Spirit places a finger on it and says, repent of this.
Repent means: to change your mind and actions, be sincerely sorry for allowing the cares of this world to interfere with your growth in your Lord.
God has the answer to your prayer waiting for you, but you must be patient while the Holy Spirit does His work first, letting the light of God's word shine into hidden places of our heart.
Beloved, always see that repentance and answered prayer are connected.
Our answer is always on the way, but can be held up until we see the areas that we have allowed in our soul, that are not good in our life.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any area that you need to repent of. Then you will see answered prayer.
God hears our cries and answers us, but have you noticed in the bible, that God is never in a hurry?
We are the impatient ones.
God has nothing but good planned for His children because He is always working behind the scenes, making us more and more like Jesus.
Do not allow fear in your soul, remember Job, he said the thing I feared has come upon me, (Job 3:25) so do not make a place for the enemy, and do not let fear rule you in anyway. Have faith, that is to trust God.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you,
