What exactly is faith, the kind of faith that it takes to stand firm when things are shaking?

We hear people say that they have faith, yet when a trial comes knocking on their door the thing that will help them grow in their faith in God, 
they immediately believe that it is the devil attacking them..

 Don't give the devil credit for what God is doing. 

 The devil has always wanted worship, close your mind to the thought that you are being attacked, ask God what He wants to reveal to you.

 If you are being attacked, you may have made a place for him. Have you given the enemy an entrance?

 Ephesians 4:25-27
Therefore, putting away lying, Let each one of you speak truth to his neighbor, for we are all members of one another.
"Be angry, and do not sin" do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.

 Who has the power anyway.  Jesus conquered death hell and the grave.  We have the power over the enemy. 

 God Himself will supply the faith needed for your trial, as He stretches you a little more to become more like Jesus.

 Philippian 4: 19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

 This in context is about finances, however I believe God will supply the faith we need when we ask Him. It says He will supply all our need. Even the faith needed for the moment.

 Faith is responding to what God has already prepared for us. It is the substance hoped for.

 Be patient and wait, God is faithful the answer will come.

 Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

 Right now (faith) this minute, step out into the unknown and God the Holy Spirit will meet you.

 God has given us a description of how faith works.
It is a settled expectation of future rewards.

 Faith is a title deed for us. 
God has given each one a measure of faith for the ministry that they are called to do.

 Our gifts for ministry are individually assigned to us and God provides the faith needed. 

 Remember the guy that said "Help my unbelief"  He was being honest with Jesus, we are to be honest with Jesus when our faith in low or lacking.

 Ask for help from the Holy Spirit, He is our helper, the one who comes along side of us.

 What exactly is faith?  It is trusting God no matter what comes our way. It is impossible to please God without faith.

 We have the faith OF God in us, allow it to activate.

JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong.
