No matter what the cost, we must reach the lost.
Paul's life is a great example for us, he was faithful to the end. He was willing to suffer for the sake of the gospel.
We need to ask ourselves, are we willing to suffer for the sake of the gospel?
Here is a scripture that we never hear preached today.
Jesus is making a point that we must give up all our old life to follow Him.
Luke 14: 33
So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be my disciple.
Beloved, we must be willing to let go of the old life and live in the newness of the Spirit.
Dying to ourselves is not easy, but little by little as the Holy Spirit works in us, we can let go and trust Jesus with our life.
Are we at the place in our walk with the Lord, that we are willing to forsake all of this old world and what it has to offer?
Psalm 101:1-4
I will sing of the mercy and justice to You, O Lord, I will sing praises.
I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.
A perverse heart shall depart from me.
Are you willing to stop viewing things that you know that the Lord would not like? and tell the perverse spirit to go?
If you fill your heart and mind with the worlds junk, trash, it will cause you to fall away and will open the door for the enemy to bring pain into your life from the perverse spirit. (Read God's word it is plain)
Instead fill your heart and mind with the word of God, that's where you will find all the answers you will ever need.
Peace for your mind, joy for your spirit, and love unending.
Beloved, are you willing to let go of the world and all it offers, and not to think you are better than others, but you sure better be different as Christians, from those that love this old world and all it offers.
We are to use things, not love them!
1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in this world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
The will of God is to receive Jesus, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and become a true disciple.
Reaching this dark old world with the light of Jesus.
Love people in the world, but do not be like them.
Draw them from the darkness, into the light of hope, salvation, healing and a prosperous life in the Lord.
God will prosper you as He sees that you are His and faithful in your giving to the work of the gospel.
He will teach you to be a great giver for the kingdom of God. When you are faithful in little, you can expect much.
God prospers us so that we can be a blessing, it is not to hoard it to ourselves. But to be a great giver just like our heavenly Father is.
Beloved, are you willing to forsake all? Ask yourself this question. Are you serving God or the spirit of Mammon?
Matthew 6:24 (Jesus speaking)
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and Mammon. (Riches)
Beloved, search your heart, has mammon taken hold, or is Jesus first in your life?
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
Love in Jesus
