We should lift up Jesus at all cost, and do our best to reach those that are lost.

Jesus said, go to Jerusalem first, they are those that are religious, they have heard the word of God preached, and they are faithful church goers, but have never been born again.

 To many know about Jesus, but have never experienced the new birth.  

 Reach out to the religious crowd first. Those that believe all their good works are good enough to please the Father.

 Those that hear sermon after sermon, but never respond to the call to Salvation.  

 Good works are not enough, only being saved by the blood of Jesus, will they have new life.

 Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

 Go to the Jew first, those that know God's word, but have never received Christ Jesus as Lord. They know about Him, but do not know Him.

 So Jesus is saying, go close to home first. 

 Then reach out to the bigger areas, and then to the ones with an open heart waiting for the Messiah. 

 Those that know that they are sinners and need a Savior.

 Beloved, look around you, never assume the one you know and see in church, is saved.

 Hell is forever and it will be a shame if you knew someone and never found out if they are saved.  

 We do get a clue, if we listen to what's important to them, or see the out of control emotions repeated over and over, and we do not see Jesus' nature in their life. No fruit. 

 We are to be fruit inspectors. That's okay!

 That's a clue, either they are not saved or need some ministry.

 We are a body and if one hurts we all hurt.
Love your neighbors enough to tell them about Jesus and His love and sacrifice for them.

 And who is your neighbor? Anyone Jesus places in your path.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us.
