There are many books out there that can inform you, but only God's holy book, can transform you.
To transform is to change the condition or nature of a thing. We were sinner's and Jesus is transforming us into a righteous child of God.
In other words, we were worms that Jesus changed into a butterfly. Woohoo!
Like the caterpillar has to go into the cocoon, and there is much activity going on inside of that cocoon, it is the same with us.
There is much activity going on with God's kids, as they are being transformed. Going from walking in the flesh (our old nature) into walking in the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Remember Moses covered the evidence of the glory of God with a veil, so the children could not see the glory fading away.
As God's children we have unveiled faces, let your light so shine, the glory of the Lord is on us.
As we walk this road of life in this world many things will perplex us, be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome this world. He has gone before and prepared our way.
We can read a lot of books of instruction, testimonies and how to books, but there is only one book that can transform you. God's word, the bible.
Only God's word is active and alive. The Holy Spirit is always on the move in our life.
When we read the bible it is alive and will convict us and change us from glory to glory.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is LIVING and POWERFUL and sharper that any two -edge sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Think about this beloved, as we read God's word it will show us the thoughts and intents of our heart.
Sometimes we don't know the intents of our heart.
God's word will show it to us.
I have had this happen recently, I was thinking one thing, and as I read Joshua 13:1-2, God spoke clearly to my heart, even though I am older, there is still much to be done, many nations to be conquered.
Those nations represent things in our life that need to be conquered, so that transforming power of God can work in us.
Beloved, that word is clear and very much alive, no matter our age, there is still much work to be done in our lives.
As we yield to the work of the Holy Spirit, we will be transformed.
God bless your day
Jesus loves you
Love in Jesus
Joy
