Jesus told us to love our neighbor as our self, Do you know who your neighbors are?
Jesus used the example of the good Samaritan, He reveals that the religious people whether out of fear, or ignorance or lack of love, did nothing for the man wounded and stripped of all he had.
Luke 10:30-34
Then Jesus said, "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
Now by chance a certain priest came down that road, And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came where he was and when he saw him, he had compassion, "So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine and he set him on his own animal brought him to an Inn, and took care of him.
Beloved, please notice it wasn't the religious guys, those that knew God's word or should have, it was the hated one by the Jews, who showed the compassion of God.
Who is your neighbor? Seems to me that Jesus was saying anyone who needs help.
They were the outcasts, being half Jewish and half Gentile. The Jews married the Assyrians, so they were the Samaritans, however they did know God's word.
God loves all peoples, so Jesus went out of the way to let the Jews know that the Samaritans were accepted also.
The woman at the well knew the word of God, as she quoted it to Jesus.
She was a woman evangelist. Many Samaritans were saved through her testimony.
Beloved, never discount anyone, God always chooses the most unlikely people to call for service in His kingdom.
Some are sitting in prison right now, but when they are freed from prison, they will be powerful saints of God. On fire for Jesus!!
God Bless your day
