What beauty do you see in the simple things of life?
When you see a field of roses, do you see their beauty or are you concerned with the thorns?
Can you see the wildflower in the weed?
When you see the clouds gathering for a storm, do you see the cold wind blowing, or do you see the nourishment the earth needs, in order to produce beautiful trees and flowers and water to give the animals a drink.
What is your perspective on whatever your eyes see? Do you see the good that can come from it?
Is it positive or negative?
Genesis 1:29-31
And God said,"see, I have given every herb that yields seed which is on the face of the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.
"Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life. I have given every green herb for food"; and it was so.
Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed, it was very good. So the evening and morning were the sixth day.
Beloved, always look for the good in everything. It may look terrible now, but God, He knows what He is allowing and for what reason. He gave us beautiful roses with thorns.
We may not understand it, but He has a purpose beyond our reasoning. So be thankful for all God gives us.
Example:
A few years back we had a horrible flood and hail storm. The house we bought was older and needed a new roof and much more repairs, it was a fixer-upper.
We had five skylights, all were destroyed and water poured into the house.
To make a long story short, our insurance covered everything, that we could not afford to do at the time.
So you see beloved, there was good that came out of the storm.
Everyone effected received new roofs, the roofing companies had more work than normal, as did the carpenters.
Since it was early spring, people had more work provided, what looked bad actually turned out for good good.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of a good report. If there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.
Beloved, if we will but think before we react to anything, we will see the good as well as the bad.
But we are to think on the good, find the good, it will be there.
When we think on the good, (Remember Joseph) and ask God to show us the good, He will, and we will be at peace.
It looked bad for Joseph, but God said, what was meant for evil, He, God turned for good.
So, what is your perspective for today? Looking for the good, I pray. See with the eyes of Jesus.
God Bless your day
