The choices we make, will reveal who we really are.
We all have to make daily choices, how we will spend out time, what chores are to be done right now, and which ones can wait.
Who has the Holy Spirit placed on our heart to call and encourage or send a card to.
What foods are we going to eat, and what will be our place to share Jesus with others today.
Our number one choice should be at the throne room of God, before we start anything.
Luke 10:38:39
Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.
And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus feet and heard His word.
This tells us that at one point Martha also sat and listened to Jesus' words as well as Mary.
But Martha got distracted with much serving.
She accused the Lord of not caring about her chores. Then she proceeded to tell the Lord what He should do.
Yet, He did not rebuke her, instead explained what was the best choice. Such love!
Luke 10:41-42
And Jesus answered and said to her, Martha Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
"But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.
Choosing Jesus first, will empower you to do anything He asks of you. But receive from Him first, then you will be equipped to do His work and will.
I hear people say its hard to find extra time to read God's word.
They listen to it on their phones or computer, but there is nothing like sitting and reading the word of God, holding our bible, having Him take us to other scriptures on the same subject matter.
Comparing scripture with scripture.
Meditating on what we read, asking the Lord what He has for us today.
Sometimes just one word will bounce out at you, and change your thinking.
Our choices will reveal who we are. Are we following the world, or Jesus?
Choose this day, whom you will serve.
Self or the world, or Jesus?
Make the right choice and I promise you, you will find peace for your soul, strength for your day and the wisdom needed.
When we choose Jesus first, we are empowered by His very presence.
Matthew 6:33
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
My holy place to meet with the Lord when my kids were young, was my bathroom.
I could shut everyone out and enjoy my time with the Lord.
None of us have an excuse to not meet with the Lord, we can find time for other things, yet Jesus is calling us to just sit at His feet, receive from Him first, then go about our day.
God Bless your day
