Our contentment and hope and joy is not found in this world.
Only in Jesus will we ever find true contentment, hope and joy.
This world is fleeting and we are here to glorify the Lord and bring others along our journey while we are here.
The only true contentment is in Jesus our Lord.
1Timothy 6:6-10
For godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. (There are no u-hauls behind a hearse)
And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Money in itself is not evil, it is the love of it. We need money to live on this earth.
Our Lord supplies all our needs, not our greed's!
Remember, Jesus said in the four sower of the seeds, that the cares of this world and deceitful riches, and the desire for other things, choke the word of God out of your life.
We all have stuff to make our life more livable, but we are not to set our hearts on the stuff.
Hebrews 13:5
Let your conduct be without covetousness, be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you"
Philippians 4:11
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
When we are content in the Lord, we will have a joy inside bubbling up, and we will always have hope.
Beloved, our time is short on this earth, we spend a lifetime collecting all kinds of things, we store some away, I also am guilty of this fact, but I see that we spend good money for things that we will never take with us.
Time for all of us to set our priorities in order.
People are what is important to the Lord. We need to sell those stored things, and give the money for the work of the Lord.
Remember Jesus said sell what you have and give to the poor.
Let's be content in all the Lord has provided, praise Him and thank Him often for all His provision.
God Bless your day
