Are you paying more attention to the world, than the God who lives inside you?
It is so easy to get side tracked by all the news around the world. Yes, we need to know what's happening so we can pray, but we do not need to dwell on all the terrible things happening.
That will steal your peace. Focus instead on Jesus.
Paul fully understood this fact when he said "He forgets what is behind."
Philippians 3:13
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.
We have to leave yesterday behind, there is not one thing we can change. Its gone and we have a new day to praise God for and we can't wait to see what the Lord will lead in our new day.
Enjoy your day with Jesus. The Holy Spirit is waiting to show you something new and fresh.
Jesus told us the world will get worse and worse, so why are we spending so much time looking and listening to all their junk. Some true and some not true! Some half true.It will pollute and defile our mind.
It is so peaceful to think of Jesus and all He means to me, I don't have time to waste on all the worlds negative junk.
It will confuse your mind and cause a spirit of fear, or perversion to enter into your thoughts, fear causes torments, perversion are thoughts from hell.
2Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
A sound mind in the Greek means:
A mind that has good judgment, has disciplined thought patterns, the ability to understand and make right decisions, it has self-control and self discipline.
A sound mind is what God has for us, so Beloved, keep your mind on the prize of the high calling of God.
Don't fill your mind with the junk that the world news is dishing out. Guard you mind.
Don't look at their filthy movies on TV, and things on the computer that defile your mind.
Its your choice to control what you view and hear. Choose life not death.
Psalm 101:2-4
I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate those that fall away, it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall depart from me, I will not know wickedness.
1Timothy 6:20-21
O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge- by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be to you. Amen.
Beloved, pay very little attention to the things we hear, stay with God's word and let your mind be at peace.
Spend time talking to your heavenly Father, He loves you and loves to hear from you.
Spend time singing and praising the Lord, what great peace He has for us. Fill up on His word, we need that spiritual food daily. Read books that lift up Jesus and give your heart a greater understanding about our wonderful Lord.
Most of all, read thee Book of life, your bible. Our life's manual.
God Bless your day
