To experience God's strength, we must first admit our weakness.
Sometimes, we fool ourselves into believing we have the strength we need to have success in an area. We shortly realize that we don't have the strength needed.
We then go to God and say "Lord, I haven't the strength needed for this situation, I need your strength.
Admitting that we are weak is ok, as we draw on the strength of the Lord, His strength never fails. In our humanity we are sometimes weak.
2Corinthians 12:9-10
And He said to me. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in my infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Our strength comes when we are focusing on the word of God.
I like to remember what Jesus said in John.
John 15:7
If you abide in Me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, it shall be done for you. "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
We can ask whatever we desire, because our desires are those of the Holy Spirit in us. When God's word is in us, we know what to ask for, according to the will of God.
His will is in His word.
I always prefer to read God's word to clear my mind, before I pray.
If His words abide in us we can ask whatsoever we desire, right?
So it only makes sense to read the word first and then pray.
I always say Good-morning Lord, what are we going to do today.
Personally I prefer to pray the word of God, it will never return void.
Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Sometimes we are weak because we have not fed ourselves on the word of God, if we have, then we have the strength of the Lord.
Beloved, admit where you are weak, and ask God for His strength, it is yours for the asking. We already have it in us, we just need to ask that it manifest so that we can draw on it.
In Jesus, God has placed in us all that we need, we have to remember it is all there, so ask!
Christ in you the hope of glory.
God Bless your day
