What should have priority in your day, are their things that can wait?
There are things that need to take priority in our day. There are other things that can wait for another time.
Our priority is always God first. When we awaken in the morning Jesus should be foremost on our mind. So talk to Him, we call that prayer.
If you think you don't have time to sit and read God's word, make the time.
My most holy place was the bathroom when my kids were growing up. I had scriptures everywhere. On the mirror, on the walls, bibles close by.
We choose to make time for our spiritual food. We need the fresh baked bread of life daily. Just as we make time to have our natural food, we make time for our spiritual food. Now we are ready to face our day with the strength we need.
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, That we might gain a heart of wisdom.
Wisdom is seeing things as God sees them.
Psalm 90: 16-17
Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children.
and let the beauty of the Lord our God be a upon us; Yes, establish the works of our hands.
Proverbs 24 27
Prepare your outside work, Make it fit for yourself in the field: afterward build your house.
As you can see God has an order He wants us to follow. Prepare your work area first, (a list helps) then take care of the other things.
God knows that we have things that must be done in our day, He asks to be a part of them. No matter what they are, He can give us new wisdom to get organized and get things done. Jesus and you working together.
Don't put off a chore that you feel you can handle later, especially if it is needed to be done today.
Don't procrastinate, don't put off what has to be done. Be diligent in your chores.
Make yourself a list, prioritize certain things and get them done, then add the other things that are less important.
Relax in the presence of the Lord and ask Him, what are we going to do today, that you and I can and should handle?
This works for me, sometimes someone will call or come to the house and the other things will wait. But earlier I have already done those things that are priority.
This makes life much easier, and takes a lot of stress off of you. People should always come before things. We never know who might not be here tomorrow.
Is God telling you to spend time with a loved one? That is priority. The house or yard or garage can wait. Jesus loves people, they are His priority.
I love that old song, "using things and loving people." Never love things and use people, that is out of order. Keep on keeping on, and know what is to come first in your day, JESUS, and those He loves.
God Bless your day
