Reflections of you in the pool with Jesus.
Staying quiet in the presence of the Lord. Placing our mind on Jesus and keeping our focus only on Him.
In the Psalm 23:2, it states that He leads me beside still waters.
I love this, that He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He makes certain that we sheep have a supply of good food (His word) before He leads us to the still waters. Where our, mind, will and emotions will be restored.
In the still waters it is like a mirror, you can see yourself clearly, and since Jesus is the one who led you there, you can see His reflection with you.
These are quiet times with the Lord. No words are needed. Words are like pebbles in the water, it will cause a ripple effect and the reflection would be distorted.
The Lord wants to minister to us in silence. When there are no distractions with words.
He wants to have a quiet time where He can impart things to us that we would never receive if we started talking.
When our mind would be engaged with what we want to say, it would not only be on Jesus.
He wants to look deep in our soul, to have an intimate time with us.
We seem to have time for all sorts of activity, yet this is the most important of our day.
This isn't a time to pray, He already knows what is on your heart and what we need.
Psalm 139:4
For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, you know it all together.
Matthew 6:7-8
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
He wants a quiet time with us.
When we are in His presence we want to say Praise you Lord, but He wants us to stay still and be quiet, so He can impart something new and fresh to us.
Isaiah 30:15
"In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength."
Do you have a place where you can go and just sit quietly in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Shutting out every distraction, where there is just you and Jesus?
It is so refreshing to just sit at His feet and listen for His voice. He is constantly speaking, but we get so busy with other things, we neglect to hear Him.
Beloved, if you are in need of a fresh touch from the Lord, sit at His feet quietly,
Let him heal your soul of anything that is keeping you from a deeper walk with Him.
Isaiah 40:29-31
He gives power to the weak, And those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength, They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Beloved, wait in the presence of the Lord and receive all He has for you.
God bless your day
