Don't just say yes to Jesus with your lips, follow Him with all your heart.

Even though the children of Israel did not follow God from their heart, our awesome God still moved mightily in their lives.

Isaiah 29:13-14
Therefore the Lord said;
"in as much as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me.  And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,
Therefore, behold, I will do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and wonder, For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.

The pride and arrogance of the wise and prudent men, were a stench in Gods nostrils,
He wanted the heart of the people to be on Him alone. But we have a compassionate God who does not give up on His children.

Psalm 78:35-39
Then they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their redeemer.
Nevertheless they flattered Him with their mouth. And they lied to Him with their tongue;  For their heart was not steadfast with Him, Nor were they faithful in His covenant.
But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them.  Yes, many a time He turned His anger away, and did not stir up all His wrath;
For He remembered that they were but flesh. A breath that passes away and does not come again.

It is easy to say I follow Jesus, but do we follow Him with all our heart? We need to ask ourselves, is my heart full of the love of God.
Am I following Him because I love Him and He is Lord, or am I just going through the motions of serving Him?

We all start out saying yes to Jesus with our mouth. Then He works on us to reveal we now have a new heart.

Romans 10:9-10
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

It starts with our mouth, we confess Jesus as Lord,  but goes into our heart where our faith to believe is seeded. We all have a measure of faith, but we must develop that faith.
Follow Jesus with all your heart, It is with our heart that we truly believe.

JESUS IS NOT A GLORIFIED BUTLER, HE IS THE SON OF GOD.

SOME BELIEVERS THINK THAT JESUS IS A GLORIFIED BUTLER.  Whatever they ask for they will have, whether it is right or wrong. Read God's word and see how many times He chose to bless and not curse His people. God knows our every move and cares that we understand there is obedience to His word that will help us. God's word is a light unto our path.  Psalms 119:104-105 Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
